1.16 Are those mine?

Life had been good to Iva.
Her bestselling book "The man who never died" was an instant icon, and even after all these years, was on the top three of Jerichos best selling books. She still wasn't a famous writer, but the publishers hold on her career got weaker and weaker.
And she wasn't rich either, but the income was more than good enough. Her husband made quite a good living as a gardener too.
The sorrow of her parents dying so many years ago, was gone. Her brother was married and the father of two cute girls, and her niece Corinna was a common guest at her house. Life really was good.

Ofcourse life also changed. It would've been strange if it didn't. She'd just yelled at them for arguing, and now they tried to make her feel bad. One would think it was her oldest, that was the mastermind. But strangely enough her toddler was turning out to be quite manipulating. Like they usually were.

They weren't excactely enemies, but Iva suspected they were just waiting for the youngest to grow up so they could argue a lot more efficiently.
It was, after all, even more rare they were this good friends.
Both of her children had inhereted most of their looks from their father. Sometimes she jokingly asked him, if he was sure they were hers.

Strangely enough it turned out that anything that came out of Ivas womb, had to be a bit odd. Like her oldest, who played hard and loud. For the moment, her oldest was an astronautninja. Pretty much everything was a something-ninja, or a ninja- something.

Her daughter Oriana, who loved turqoise, ninjas, ninja-dinosaurs, ninja- astronauts and ninja-horses.
What was the point of wearing a dress? Ninjas didn't wear that. What was the point of long hair? It got in her eyes when she did ninja- stuff!! Dolls? Ofcourse she played with dolls! They were ninja- dolls!! She painted them with ninja- paint and hid them around the house. So the rest of them ended up stepping on them.
Atleast she only had glasses for correctional purposes so far. She couldn't be a ninja when she grew up, if she wore glasses.

Iva would never have imagined she would be one of those mums, that wanted a little princess. But she had given up trying to get her daughter beeing more traditional girly. Atleast she tricked the kid into trying her little oven. All chef-ninjas made ninja-cupcakes on ninja-stoves, which is what all ninjas ate.

Then it was her baby boy, Marco.

She had no idea where he got that bad mood from....

it was probably from the dads side of the family...
----------------------------------------------------------------

Oriana had just started school, but there were barely any kids there. Which obviously meant it was a ninja- school, and the other students were hiding, like ninjas. And that was so awesome!!!!
We had ninja-class today!! That was gymnastics. It was so awesome!!! The ninja- teacher tought us to climb ninja ropes!! Oriana stuffed her face with cake.
It wasn't the best food for kids, but Iva had barely gotten her to eat anything. It wasn't ninja- food after all. But cake she ate, even if it weren't made by or for ninjas.
     Mum, what's a lesbian?
Iva nearly choked on her pie, but managed to keep from coughing. That was unexpected.

Well, it's when.... Well, you know how it is with mum and dad, right? Some sims... Iva fumbled a bit. Trying to explain anything to Oriana wasn't the easiest thing in the world.
'Cause Sunniva kissed me in ninja- break today! And then I asked why?? And then she said: Eeew!! You're not a boy!!! And then I said I wasn't, but I don't know why she'd think that 'cause I have a girl name!! Then she pushed me and said I was a lesbian!! And then she said girls don't have short hair!! Why would she say that!! Oriana said it without even drawing a breath, then stuffed her face with cake again.
Iva thanked the watcher for letting Oriana forgetting her own question. Looking around for her husband, not seeing him, she answered: Sunniva probably said that, because she's jealouse.
Because she can't be a ninja?!! The girl really liked ninjas.
Iva bit her own tongue, she was so sick of fucking ninjas: No honey. She's probably jealouse since she can't have short hair. Because unlike you, she's so ugly she needs to hide her face. You should tell her that, if she says anything similar again.

It wasn't the best thing to teach a kid, she knew. But Oriana was just so strange, she had to learn how to insult other kids. Or she'd end up getting constantly bullied. Iva had no idea who this Sunniva was, but she didn't like the girl.
One of the boys in ninja-school said his dad had like TONS of magazing with lesbians in it!!!  And he's like taking them to ninja-school tomorrow so we can see what a lesbian is!!
You know honey, real ninjas don't ever look in magazins like that. You want to be a real ninja right?? Seeing something like that would traumatize Oriana, so Iva figured it was best to try to avoid it.
And so ended the discussion. No way was Oriana ever going to take the chance of not becoming a ninja!! Or a dinosaur- ninja.

After the meal, Oriana decided to talk to Nunchuck, her trusty ninja-cat companion. The cat didn't really like her just yet, but it was okay. Getting a ninja- pet was supposed to be difficult.
Mum insisted the cat was called Fatty, but Oriana knew better. They talked about ninja- flies that Nunchuk loved to eat.

As a real ninja, Oriana was gifted in her own way. Like avoiding homework for as long as possible. She didn't understand why ninjas was supposed to learn simlish. She already knew how to talk, so what was the problem?
But as usual, the evil baby- ronin (which she wasn't sure what was, but it sounded like really cool), started howling at the top of his longues!!

Baby-ronin was an ancient evil wizard that was trapped in her brothers body. That's why he always cried. She'd cry to if she was trapped in a babybody! Especially her stupid brothers!

Before she went to bed, Oriana checked under her bed to see in any ninjas from opposing clans was hiding there.

Muuuuuum!!! Baby- Ronins ninjas are under my bed!!!!
Okay, so maybe she had inherited something from her mum; an overactive imagination.

There would be no lovin' for Iva this night either. But that didn't mean she couldn't have sweet dreams about romancing her husband.
Oriana dreamt about yeti- ninjas. They lived on the moon, everyone knew that!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Look! It's generation 2!!! Finally up and going!!! And it was a short chapter!! It's all good now!!!

After opening other saves and all those things, the agebar got reset, so there was 13 days, instead of 5 to adulthood. I had them dating for a loooong time, before she took the chance of moving forward with their relationship. Couldn't take the risk of getting rejected again.

I have tons of pictures of dating, pregnancy and lots and lots of others. But thought; to hell with it. Give the readers something to see! You've all suffered for so long now. And the clone problem is fixed. Now they just look a lot like their parents!

Thanks for reading.

1.15 The Patriarch

Despite all the snow, the cold wasn't that strong. It didn't run deep in the bones, or freeze the nostrils. She could have sworn it was colder just a short while ago.
Ivas mind worked differently from other sims, she understood that now. It was all to clear for her, what was going on and why this happened.

Florian, her dead grandmothers brother was standing right there. He was no son, or grandson. It was him in the flesh. Someone who had found the secret to immortality, and now controlled things that others couldn't.
A man who was powerful enough to trick and take out both of her sisters. Both more powerful than her, both more powerful than her brother. Even their friends hadn't taken much notice of the vampire.

As she'd seen the picture she understood it all. It was a grotesque cliché, blatantly simple and so horrendous in it's familiar form. Familiar for those who read bad books. Books like the ones she wrote. It was so simple, even the ginger genious didn't see what stared them in the face.
She had been looking at the tenthousand piece puzzle, when the one she needed to solve was for children aged 3-5.

A man with money can make people believe they are dead. They can lie in hiding for years and years. They can take controle over enterprises without anyone knowing who they are. They hide in plain sight.
Iva wasn't sure if he had set up a trap for her sisters, or if he just took the opportunity as it presented itself. But it was so simple.

     Revenge.

Florian, or Michael as she knew him, looked young, but was from another age. He was probably oldfashioned even for that time.
Iva dropped her glasses in the snow. They didn't make a sound as they got engulfed by the white substance.
He was the head of the family. And when the teenboy attacked him, Ivas mum and grandmother ran to the police and told them about what Florian had done. Not to protect him, but to make sure that he would be the one getting punished.
     They had betrayed the patriarch.

But her grandmother was dead, and her mum out of reach. So he took her sister Valerie and gave her a traitors death. Valerie, who was her mothers spitting image, was burned to death in place of their mum. Adela was given a violent death, since she also was related and in his mind deserved it.
It was also a witches death, to throw the police off.

The teenboy that almost had sent Florian to his grave, had died as a result of the injuries. He hadn't even been capable of taking the kids life himself. It must have been humiliating for the patriarch.
They had known Marek was coming. And he was almost the spitting image of the boy that nearly ended Florians reign.
Her brother was alive, she was certain of it. A death like this wasn't satisfying enough for Florian. Marek was to take the teenboys place, and who knew what punishment he was to have.

Lukas and Gard accompanying Marek must have forced Florian to change plans. Those other sims around her brother right now, where werewolves. She was certain. They couldn't even get close to the friends, so Florian had to operate pretty much alone.
He'd tried to get her alone, but Gard changed that plan too. He'd smell the werewolves miles away, so Florian trapped them in the basement. Iva realised that Florian was uncertain of Gard. He didn't know ginger couldn't do anything special.
She almost heard gloomys voice: I sense something in this place too. "Something", or Florian.

Florian was expecting Lukas, and had taken three underlings with him. Well knowing that the faiy would expect the place to smell of werewolves any way. He didn't know blondie couldn't do anything special either.
Iva had no idea what vampires could do, other than slurping blood from their victims. She'd only heard rumours, and stories that probably wasn't true anyway.
He'd gotten her all giggely and forgetting about her sceptic nature. But how could he use that in a fight? He got beaten by a teenaged boy, so he couldn't be too strong. But he'd taken out the terrible twosome. How the hell had he done that?

She could hear their voices through cotton, not beeing able to hear the words. Werewolves smelled, masking her scent. And they talked to much.
Iva swore she heard Adelas voice, talking to her from under the thick ice in the frozen lake. The words she'd said the only time she had visited Ivas small home: Your blood is as tainted as ours. I'd thrice curse you but I doubt there's any need for that. This was what she'd meant.
Florian was the taint, they were of the same family. Adela, Valerie and now Marek was why she didn't need to curse her. Three times, or three people.
But Marek couldn't be dead. Even if she hadn't seen him move yet. He'd probably "only" gotten a beating for now.

Four against two, and Florian alone probably counted for a couple alone. He had learned from facing death by the hands of a teenager. Never take a fight unless you're certain you'll win.
Iva wasn't bothered by little things like that.

You fucking old corpse!! I'll fucking kill you, you piece of.... she ended it with a guttural roar. Then she slapped him in the face, and kept trying to squeeze the breath out of his bull- like neck.
Cold snow crawled in under her sweater as she hit the ground.

Iva hadn't even noticed getting thrown off, even if her chest and arms felt sorer than the rest. Neither did she know if it was Florian himself, or one of the others. She didn't let it bother her, and threw herself at the fucking vampire again.
Or tried atleast. He was stronger than she'd anticipated. He pushed her away again!! Which did not do wonders for her anger.

And here I was wondering what to do with you. Florians deep voice rang unwillingly through the landscape. Where are your friends?

They left this shithole!! Fucking useless supernaturals!! The stupid werewolves growled angrily at her.
Iva might be illtempered, but wasn't a complete moron either. As far as she knew, they went back to the shitty hotel. Not that she'd tell him though. They didn't need ending up dead too because of her.

Why? Are you afraid they might show up and beat your dried up old arse?? Fucking old creep making her want him like that. Way creepy, they were related.... was that even legal?

Ivas anger dissapeared as the cold snow melted on her back, sliding down her spine. It wasn't the first time in her life she had no idea what to do. But this time it would cost her brother his life. And hers.
For some strange reason, Florian stroked her cheek.

You remind me of Natalia. She was reckless and quick to temper. Oh great. She finally meets a hot guy, who turns out to be ancient; ick, and related; double ick. And now she remind same ick- guy about a serialkiller/childabuser. Oh sweet days....

Take me instead!! Iva was close to crying, he couldn't just kill her brother. He was the best of them!
Florian laughed at her: And loyal too! Just like my beloved Natalia.

He turned his back against her, and said: Tempting as it might be, I already have plans for you. He then turned to the werewolves. Make sure the lady doesn't go anywhere.

The smelly one, with the really weird face held her in a firm grip around the throat. Probably some werewolf thing, or just a powerthing. Most likely it was to make sure she couldn't breath properly. The other male werewolf sat next to him. She couldn't just sit and watch Florian take her brother away!!
Iva desperately tried to draw a deep breath, to the werewolves amusement. As she again tried to get the smelly ones hairy hand off her throat, an idea dawned. She didn't have any weapons. But she did have acrylic nails

As the two stupid werewolves laughed at her, she dug her finger deep in the handsome ones eye. Usually it was a shame to destroy such a pretty face, but this guy was bad news anyway. The feel of his eye giving after, was luckily masked by her gloves.

He threw out a loud, feral howl as he went down, hand covering his eye. Iva tried to laugh proudly, but for some reason Stinky hadn't loosened his grip. He actually squeezed harder. Ok, that had been a bad idea.

Stinky stuck his weird face in hers. With his breath stinking of plumbob knows what, he said: Don't try that again bitch. I really like using my fangs.

Air! Sweet air filled her longues again. She'd laugh at Stinky, but her throat was to sore. And honestly, seeing Gard feeding was really disgusting. Eeeeww....... He didn't look to happy either. Stinky probably didn't taste better than he smelled.

Looking around her, Iva was surprised to see Lukas occupying the blonde werewolf. Well, somethings were best not knowing to much about.

Blood thumping in the ears, she went for that fucking vampire again!! Iva wasn't thinking completely straight, but the rest of the werewolves would probably run away when they realized they weren't grossly outnumbering them.

As usual, the rage was getting the better of her. Florians hands were violently strong, easily wrestling her to the ground.

He growled: Of all the four!! You are by far the most irritating one!!!!

The cold didn't bother her the slightest bit. That's the good thing about beeing a hot- head. Mareks bruised face only made her angrier. His breath gasping, his muscles shivering from the long exposure from the cold.
Don't you fucking touch my sister!!! Mareks voice sounded exhausted, but there was still some strength in him. She felt Florians weight beeing lifted off her.

Get him Marek!!! Iva shouted to her brother! He was stronger than her anyway. Iva readied herself to get up, so they could beat up the old corpse. Like a team!!! Twinpower!
Laying in the snow for that long unfortunately had taken it's toll on her brothers strength. Iva barely had time to notice Florian throwing him off over his shoulder. Then that bastard made a run for it!!

Iva ran after him, intent on following Florian to the end of the world if she had to!! That pice of shit was going to pay!!
No. Someone grabbed her, and Iva felt the ground dissapearing beneath her feet.

Put me down you fucking nerd!! Really? She had someone that needed a beating!
     Nope.
Iva started kicking stupid Gard as hard as she could. She couldn't just turn off  "punchmode" like that!!
Fucking put me down you fucking carcass!!
Stop kicking my perfect body..... His voice was dry as the words sprung out of his mouth. Right, indirect blackmail understood.

She tried again, as you catch more flies with honey. And Iva was well known for her smooth talking: You're my best friend.....
You're not running into the wilds, with an eternal vampire and three werewolves running around.
Really? They were wounded and beaten- probably scared too! What was the problem? Iva made sure to voice her thoughts to him.
Great, now ginger sighed at her too: They are either getting more of their own, or killing your "sexy" friend there. We need to leave now.

It was Ivas turn to sigh. It was a bitch to be a hothead. Now she was to tired even to argue with nerdboy! Besides, they had to get the fuck out of this place, and get her brother to safety and probably a hospital.
Will you atleast get your hand off my arse?
They went over to where Lukas and her brother waited, when ginger finally answered: ...No....

Despite the serious situation, Iva just couldn't help herself: You two make an adorable couple....

Marek answered with hoarse voice: Let's just get out of this shithole.
 ---------------------------------------------------------------
AN: Warning!! LONG!!

Finally finished. First of all: No, Florian will not be coming back. Ever. They are all out of harms way. Bye Florian, I will miss you!!
Second: Yes, there are always someone missing in the pictures. Because I made a noob- mistake. A dark night, dark trees, dark sky and dark clothes = Can't have to many people in the picture at a time. because then it just looks like a mass of darkness. So I had to keep the most important sims in the pic at a time, and the rest just got left out.
And for the record; I actually regret not making Marek and Lukas gay, because they would actually make a cute couple :)

To the point
As I was playing, I realised that it didn't feel like a legacy. It's fun playing Iva, but it just felt like any other game, where I get bored after second generation. Eventually I realised why.

Iva is actually generation 10 of my last legacy, and to me it felt like it never actually finished. And here is why:

Florian, Natalia and Isobel are my gen 8 from the same legacy. I rolled for heir, and never tweaked sims as a rule. And Isobel was to be heir- there was one problem though. Clones. For the last three generations, there was a clone problem. Isobel looked just like the last two heirs.

I was so sick of that look, and absolutely hated her. But I didn't want to start cheating at generation 8. So I made her crazy and locked her in a tiny basement. She was thrown an apple a couple of times a day. (She was always happy mind you, so don't feel sorry for her) And then I added her brother Florian, and their cousin Natalia to the household. (As the roll was single with double help)

Then I downloaded a vampire- mod and sent them on killing sprees in the inbred town. It was a blast. They are definitely my favourite sims ever!! Natalia won most of the fights with the townies, but Florian never lost; ever!!

Isobel had two kids, that again were clones. I hated them to, and gave them a miserable life. Another girl was added to fill the number of kids roll, because I couldn't stand seeing another clone.

The town was getting a bit empty, and generation 9 was closing in on adults. I wasn't sure what to do, so I made an evil plan. I decided to base gen 9 story on something different. I had the "good" (the teen girl and the teen boy) fighting the "bad", and whoever lost would die. Then I would just take it from there.

I sent the teengirl fighting Natalia, and the girl obviously lost and I MC-killed her.
Then I sent the teenboy against Natalia, and he won..... Ok, so I MC- killed Natalia.

But surely that kid can't win against Florian with his monster skills, I thought, and sent him against the vampire. Florian lost, for the first time ever. I was so dissapointed! But I made the rules for a reason. So I MC- killed Florian. And the teenboy; I really hate the clones!! (and added some other adults to the household, I didn't cheat!)

But I decided something then: I hate the clones, and when genereation 10 are adults, I'll introduce Florian back and have him kill them all off. Valerie, Adela, Marek and Iva was never supposed to live this long.

But when generation 10 was born, it turned out that I actually liked them. So I kept playing, but the original story was always at the back of my mind.
I needed closure to make it feel like the last legacy ended, and a new started. Unfortunately it also meant you had to read it :)

The good news is that it truly feels like a legacy now. And this is also why the fighting scenes wasn't that good. It wasn't important. The important thing was to tell the story, and to have a confrontation. Marek and Iva couldn't kill Florian, because skillwise they aren't capable of it.

Thanks so much for reading:)
