2.5 Beautiful like the moon

The white snow had long since gotten brown and heavy, filled up with carfumes and dirt. Hard and packed together in the nearby street, it slowly got covered in a fresh new carpet. But in a few hours, the pollution would once again take it's toll on it.
Joggers had long since given up trying to run, as their feet kept slipping and the more packed it got the heavier it was running through it. In the end, sims would barely be able to walk on the snowcovered pavement.
As snowflakeday was nearing, Gard took the time to meet up with an old friend. Two old men like that should probably have taken their wives advice, and stay indoors in the cold. But they decided that making a snowman was a better way of getting a hernia.
Meaves doing great, Marek said obviously proud and worried about his armyloving daughter. Rowena on the other hand.... He studied the snowman carefully: There's something wrong with her. I'm a horrible father for saying that about my own daugher aren't I?

The snowman stood as a sentiment to something they were both eventually facing. One way or another, death was coming for them. And this time they wouldn't come out alive.

You're not a bad father. There's a lot that can happen in a teenagers life. It's probably just a phase! Gard lied to Marek. He'd met the girl and to be honest...
Marek finished the thought for him: She scares me. I see a lot of Adela and Valerie in her. Not to mention.... that guy.... Yeah, it was that guy to.
They decided that meeting their wives indoors for some warm coffe, was better than having the dark snowman staring at them with glowing red eyes. Besides, their manly feet got cold!

Here we are, Iva shivering voice said: happily married for years, and my own son is divorced! And no grandchildren for any of us! Why don't our kids spawn?! Atleast her daughter was married to a kind man.
The two men didn't mention anything about their worries about Rowena for her. She wasn't of the best health, and had aged a lot more poorly then they had. They still kept insisting at meeting at the academy, since Gard was a master in sim- fu. He took every chance he had of showing off his skills.

The only certain thing in life is death.
--------------------------------------------------

Beeing owned by a unicorn meant that all hours of the day belonged to her. Morning or night, snow and rain, no matter what health sims were in; you are all hers. Anyone thinking that a unicorn and a horse were the same thing, was absolutely and blatantly wrong. A unicorn is not an animal; it's an entity in it's way. An ethereal grace, as difficult to grasp and understand for common sims as the moons haunting beauty. And also as cold and natural as the very same thing.
She threw her head from side to side, that long mane flowing, grasping the moons last rays. She was beautiful, and knew it all to well.

The unicorn loved showing off, adoring all longing looks. And she bit most sims that dared touch her, unless they offered her carrots. She was a woman after all, and loved to eat.
It had come as a big surprise that the unicorn chose to enter this realm as Marco made fun of her kind. But the more Joe thought about it, the more obvious it got: They were both big, blonde, well built and goodlooking. And so full of themselves that half of it was more than enough. Everyone they met wanted to own them, or be like them.

And even if they both bit hard and had their negative sides, they were pretty goodnatured and didn't have a bad core. After all, how many beautiful blondes would let Joe climb them without even complaining. Or try to get away?

Joe had tried all manners of names for her, but she didn't approve of any of them. It was supposed to have something to do with a moon. Probably because she was mooncoloured. But names like Io, Tethys and so on really didn't get approved. He thought they were good, atleast Tethys...
As a pretty lady walked out of the stable, the unicorn decided to show off a bit. She often did.
He wasn't a great rider, but Joe couldn't get mad at her. Let's just face it, she was so beautiful that he could bask in her glow.

The unicorn made him feel like an awesome knight! Not some boring fairytale knight, more like a teutonic one. Yeah!! That was awesome!! Hochmeister Joakim, hey that actually sounded pretty good. He'd totally rock armour. Giving him weapons on the other hand might not be the best idea.
The unicorn seemed to agree, and threw herself into another pose. To bad the pretty lady was gone, so no one saw them. But they were still cool!!

A rainbow appeared as they left the stablearea. Not very knightly, but defenitly unicornly. Yes, that's a word!

You know... Joe tried talking some sense into the unicorn. We were supposed to train outside the stable, not freelance ride.... His voice jumped up and down with her trot, bet a hochmeister didn't get an aching but from that.
If he had more experience with women, he'd known that they never listen anyway.
This would never end well! Joe was worried about what would happen. Jericho was a big city, and horseback riding wasn't the safest thing around. He could only hope that she would stay away from the roads. How was horses on slippery surfaces anyway?

And yet again, Joe did his best attempt to figure out what her name was. He was crazy, so talking to a horse wasn't strange to him.
So I have another idea, he said with nervous voice to the unicorn. I'll start with the alphabet, and you do some hors... unicorn thing to stop at the right letter. Sounds okay to you?
She made a horse sound that didn't sound to terrifying. Bet teutonic knights never had problems like this with their horses....

K...L....M....The unicorn made a sound at the M. Okay, so your name starts with an M! Joe said with positive voice. He'd already tried all versions of "moon" he could think of, but it fell poorly with the unicorn. She kept dragging him through the hills at the cities outskirts, so atleast they woyldn't get run over by a car.
He tried again: A... an got an immedeat response: So M..a.. then. Are you sure your name's not Marco? You two have a lot in common.

She didn't throw him off at that comment. Like most women, she liked Marco. But unlike most he'd met, she highly preffered him, Joe!! He really loved her, even if she was a tad moody.
The pollution hadn't coloured the white snow so far away from the roads, and few sims walked there. So Joe gave up trying to control the entity, and just let her do her thing. A mans control over a womans choices only exists in his mind anyway.

Bigfoot wondered what those two freaks were doing as he ran into hiding behind a tree. The sim were to busy to notice him thankfully. He'd seen enough cryptozoologist thank you very much!
H!!! He exclaimed as the sasquatch shook it's head at him, what an idiot: Mah....

As they came back to the stable, he gave the unicorn a hug: Mahdis! He laughed softly as she made a warm sound back to him and proudly threw her head around. Moonlike! Beautiful like the moon!
Duh.... What else would suit her? Even in daylight she glowed like the fullmoon. If Mahdis had been a sim, she'd probably facepalm him.

Mahdis seemed happy about beeing called something else than "the unicorn", or just simply "her". He was such an idiot. He'd been expecting some weird unicorn name, not a real one. She tried chewing on his jacket as a sign of good will. No one could come here and tell Mahdis she didn't know how to take care of her sim!
---------------------------------------------

In usual manner, Marco was a lucky bastard. Ally was beautiful and far from as freaky as he'd been worried about. All in all a good experience, which was the main reason for sleeping with someone. Even better, their agreement that none of them wanted anything serious, still stood. It wasn't a relationship, they were both sleeping with others, but it was a nice arrangment.

Marco loved this thing! Why didn't he have one of this at home? It was great, and he was so awesome this couldn't possibly go wrong!
Mate!! He hollered as his muscles cramped, whilst doing his best to be acrobatic. This is AWESOME!! You have got to try this!!! The machine coughed, and whined as it tried throwing his weight around. It was always a little timelaps as it really picked up speed.

The smooth donut placed a fatty film inside his mouth. It tastet so god it almost hurt, still just a bit warm. A sharp taste of lemon mixed in with the silky smooth frosting, and just a small sprinkle of topping.
It was best to eat it whilst gorilla- man was busy doing something else. Or he'd just talk about saturated fats, sugars, bloodpressure and other boring things normal sims didn't care about. He really needed to realx a bit, enjoying the good things in life wasn't going to kill him.

Marco fell out with a heavy thump. Once again, the machine won and he lost. But one of these days he'd come out on top!! He usually was on top anyway...

The activity- centre reeked of old sweat, chlorine and feet. The aging paint on the wall had long since faded, the carpet stained and shiny after years of soled feet stomping on it.
Joe had to hand it to blondie, staying active did wonders for mood, and mental health. But football was fun, even if it sucked Marco was better than him. No wonder with those long gorilla arms...

They even met up with Marcos partner, and had a friendly competition on the wall! By the looks of it, one had to be part monkey to join the force, as Joe lost big time! How the hell did they do that anyway? Look at those little monkeys going!

Rye really looked like shit, and clearly used the same tattoo artist as Ally. But she was hot ofcourse.
You know, Marco said. I'd never thought I'd say this, but you use to much hairspray!
Rye laughed and went: It's glue!!
Glue in the hair? It's a miracle it hadn't all fallen out. Ofcourse a balding Rye would be insanely funny. Wonder if he'd regret shaving most his hair off when he actually started loosing it? Why would any guy want to shave their hair away anyway? Women liked hair on men didn't they? Not that Marco cared if women shaved their heads or not, but that was different.

As the old gang had accidentaly met at the winterfair, it was natural that others popped up to. Joe felt compelled to shake hands with Bashir, as he'd mainly been a friend of Marcos.
Nice seeing you again, he said. The politicians handshake was firm, and clearly belonged to someone used to it.
With it's relative warmth, winter had for once showed a little upswing in criminal activities, according to Marco. The politicians used it to their advantage, trying to put some new and fresh people into certain higher positions. He understood the wish to remove the reign of ancient and crusty men, but how could it be their fault that crime increased? Politicians were strange. Joe didn't have any idea what side Bashir was on either. Not that he cared, as no big changes was ever made.

Snowflake day was closing in, and the city had taken on another tone. Busy shopping, long lines and irritating music covered every little corner, but a good mood generally ran through the population. Good thing they didn't have it so insanely (poor choice of words) cold, even if Bashir had the eyecolour of the glazed surface on a long frozen lake, bathed in the lights in the blue hour. Joe had felt poetic lately..... it was probably not a good sign.
Bashir was one of those irritated sims that looked good in everything. Never looked tired, worn down or smelled bad. Ever!! Looking at that flawless skin made Joe sure he never had to shave either. The most annoying thing was that you just had to like him.
I keep myself busy at the county hall, he said with a voice that matched the eyecolour. The times I'm not driven or fly somewhere...... Had he always sounded so calm and cold?

He looks every bit the politician he is. The thought ran through Marcos head. Really, look at that hair! Every little strain is in the perfect spot. Not a single stubble on his cheek, not a spot on the skin. Nothing! Maybe he wasn't real....
You know, we fund the police ball, Marco started paying attention again. It wasn't that he hadn't followed every thing else he said, he was a cop after all. He just stopped admir.. contemplating his looks. Are you going? Bashirs voice made it chillier. It might have been a pretty mild winter, but that didn't mean the temperature didn't drop as night was claiming the city for it's own.
I'm not that far up in the hierarchy yet, Marco answered the question as Bashir flashed those perfect, white teeth, and went: Then I'll get you and a partner an invitation.

I'm single.... He wasn't sure why, but there was something about Bashir that made red lights flash, despite the perfect skin. It wasn't any use asking him about a dermatologists name; he'd always have that matted silken skin... not that Marco noticed..... *cough*
Take a friend then.... Bashir wasn't backing off.
I doubt Joe will look nice in a dress. Yup, that alarm was still there, howling away at full strength. That might be the thought of Joakim in a dress ofcourse.
He flashed those perfect teeth again: Not one for formal attire in other words?
Marco mimiced the smile, and confirmed his assumption. And without actually understanding why: Would you like to come over for Snowflake day?
Iva and Gard was spending it with Marek and his family. Marco was going to be on call anyway, so him and Joe was staying home. Maybe he could get something out of the politician, something to scratch that little itch he had.
It was probably Marcos great hair that did the trick, as Bashir gave a polite: I'd like that. He had so much better hair than that slimeball anyway.

Joe was still awesome.

Rye wasn't afraid to breake his fingers even if that's how he made a living.

Marcos hair had so much hairspray his head would never get hurt.

Even Dominic turned out to be a natural. Marco had awesome friends!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry about the gloominess in the beginning there, but they keep on making death- snowmen. I think they're trying to tell me something. I haven't gotten lot's further in the game either, as school and parenting takes up most of my day.

And Mahdis finally has a name :) I can honestly say this is the first (and only) time I'll actually search for a fitting name for anyone or anything.

I don't know if kids nowadays use glue in your mohawks, but that's how we did it back in the days.

2.4 Minty

Hot and cold, hot and cold. The best way of getting the body up and working. But in the end the water always ended up somewhere in the middle. Besides, it was best for the hair. The shower wouldn't be to long either, it wasn't exactely fun soaping in his own body. A soft womans body on the other hand... or with both of his hands.... But, there was no need to linger on that, Marco thought as he turned the water off.

As he left the shower, he carefully watched where he placed his feet. The floor had a tendency to become slippery when wet, just like a woman. Okay, it was about time he got laid now. He hadn't had sex in three days!

A lack of sex made him sleep poorly too, he was sure. This morning he had woken up before the reaper even got his slippers on! Why? Because he swore he had felt something crack, like the soundwall beeing broken. Or not exactely, but there was a loud ripping sound and a thunder. Or not exactely, but more like a feeling, but not excactely but... he gave up. The weird part was that he was certain the wall between worlds had been ripped apart. Which was stupid, because the only world that exsisted was this one.
Atleast he had fallen asleep again. Ooooh... minty!

Maybe he had been affected by Joe, he thought as he noticed his friend sleeping in the rocking chair. It looked quite comfortable, and he did his very best not to wake him up. Wonder why he was there.

In the attempt of staying quiet, Marco made more sound than usual and woke Joe up. He yawned and it cracked a bit when he stretched his limbs out. That guy really needed to move a bit more.
Wiping sleep out of his eyes Joe heard big-blonde in the kitchen. It might as well be a rabid gorilla in there. Still messed up by his newfound imaginary horse, it took a little while before he dared talk. Just incase it wasn't really Marco, but his insanity playing tricks on him.

You are real right? Joes voice was rusty with sleep, as he rubbed his neck.
Yes. You think anything imaginary would have sushi for breakfast? Healthy fats, and lots of good vitamins in the seaweed! Made his breath stink a bit though, but Dominic never complained. Why? Did you have another.... thing?
I tought I heard something this morning, so I went outside to check. He paused as another yawn went out of him: And I saw a unicorn! It wasn't a point mentioning it hadn't been a dream. It was obvious.
That's not to good, but it's not the first time. Do you want me driving you to the doctor? Joe was allowed to sit in his car ofcourse. But not drive it!
Nah, I'll take a yellow one.

Joe helped himself to some coffe. His butt ached from the rockingchair, but not as much as he imagined. The old man eventually joined them, and went: Who summoned the unicorn? He didn't even look at him, but at his own son. Marco couldn't summon anything, and where was that even coming from?
What? Gorillablonde looked at his dad.
Did you summon a unicorn? The old man even sounded serious.
Are you okay dad? Was dad going insane too?
Don't try convincing me you didn't notice anything. Was it you?

Yes dad! I summoned a unicorn, he grinned sarcastically. I need it for my fairyarmy, so we can invade the elf fortress! But first, my blonde hair needs to grow long so it can flow in the wind, and I need a pair of silken tights! Think mum will let me borrow some of hers? Was dad going senile? Uncle Lukas will be my general, he can be in charge of the garden gnomes. He'd seen old pictures of uncle Lukas, he had long blond curls. So funny....

Stop acting like an idiot! Gard growled, it was to early in the morning for funnytalk, and to sunny! Where was all that sun coming from? Wasn't it supposed to be autumn now? They needed heavier curtains.
Yes sir.... Both of the boys answered, even if he didn't mean Joe. So he had actually noticed something this morning!
I'm serious! What did you do? A unicorn doesn't just pop into our garden for no reason. Lets see.... he closed his eyes, trying to feel it. It took a while: It's a pretty young one, a bit unrurly.... not so popular amongst its peers....
The two guys stared at him. What the hell was he doing?! So Joe hadn't imagined it after all?You made fun of unicorns..... he said with dry voice. Don't do that, they have a bit ... unstable mood.

A lot of sims makes fun of unicorns! A lot of people.
"A lot of sims" doesn't carry genie, witch and vampire blood in such a high ammount as you do. He hadn't really mentioned it to his kids before, mainly because he hadn't thought about it.
And to be honest he wasn't sure how bad their halfbreed status was, it had seemed pretty non- exsistant. Not that bad though, it was appearantly just Marco that had it. Good thing he was strong willed, or he would be an easy target for supernaturals that was out to make bad things happen. If anyone had been interested that was.
What? Marco had no idea what he was talking about.

Joe interrupted them: I think I've heard about that. Supernaturals are drawn to others, and can sense, affect and other things right? Or some of them can... Oh no, now he stared at him with those creepy eyes again!
Well, yes. To put it simply. Every supernatural can't do it ofcourse, it depends on how strong they are. But.. Marco hated that word, but Gard was relentless: when the sim on the other end is a halfbreed it's easier. Halfbreeds can be quite strong in their way to. Dreamvisions, sensing things, a massive ammount of luck and other things. Not as much as a real supernatural though.Or they have nothing at all. Which I honestly thought was the case with you, but clearly I was wrong. He looked at his son again.

Gard went and threw the plasmajuice in the trash, before sitting down again. It tasted horrible, his wifes blood tasted so much better.
Are you telling me freaks are drawn to me? Marco didn't like the sound of that, he liked normal sims. But when he thought about it, strange sims were drawn to him: Joe, Rye, Ally, Sunniva, Uncle Lukas, and not to mention the people from university... the list was pretty long. Atleast his partner was normal.
Supernaturals and other halfbreeds..... His son was so politically incorrect. Why did you think we have so many gardengnomes? You understand their alive in their own way?
I thought mum bought those. Gnomes were not alive, were they?
You thought your mother bought gnomes?! Anyone imagening Iva walking aroung bying gardengnomes needed a good slapping.

How do you know it's not your fault?! Marco didn't want it to be his fault!
Because any gnome or unicorn in their right mind, doesn't contact a vampire. It's from the time when supernaturals were a bit more dangerous.
That made a bit sense to, and dad went on: But with a halfbreed, they feel safer. I don't know why but they do. He was just glad that Oriana didn't seem to be plagued by anything. Atleast he hadn't noticed. Ofcourse, Gard wasn't perticulary powerful either, but he could smell a vulnerable sim across town now. Which he hadn't been able to before.

When's it going to leave? He meant the unicorn, and nearly fell off the chair when dad said it probably never would. It would decide it for itself. But since Marco summoned it, it was his job taking care of it. He couldn't take care of a horned horse, he had a job for crying out loud!! He hadn't even seen it! How could he know they weren't just having fun with him?!

Well, Joe found it so he can take care of it!! He was allowed to try atleast. I bet the horned horse loves him!!
Joakims answer surprised him, just when you think you know someone: Sure, I love horses. I always dreamt of owning my own. They have a stable where we can rent a space for it. Joe was just happy he wasn't crazy after all, and fully accepted the old mans guarantees he wasn't. It was better than the alternative.
It's settled then! Everything worked out for Marco, he was such a lucky bastard...

Gard just hoped those two knew what they were doing. But it worried him more than he liked to. If a unicorn sensed Marco so easily, who knew what else could try to affect him? He calmed himself with the fact that supernaturals were modern beeings now, not the monsters of the past. Even if it was a damn cranky unicorn.

The old man told Joe where to find the unicorn. She had been nice enough to go to the stables anyway. Who would call that beauty cranky?
Whispering softly, he stroked the warm mule: Hi beautiful... The unicorn seemed to like him, and allowed him to pet her.
Wondered what to call her? The old man said it already had a name, but he couldn't figure it out. It had something to do with moons, probably not as in the way him and Rye had mooned passing cars in their youth...

The unicorn made it very clear where it would stick it's horn, if Joe didn't treat it properly. Or if she didn't like whatever name he called it, or if it didn't like the food. Or if anyone it didn't like touched it, or if....okay, the unicorn was a bit foultempered, but he'd lived with the old lady so this couldn't be much worse.

--------------------------------------------------------

Marco might seem like a big, dumb blonde to alot of sims, but that was far from the truth. He just liked keeping it simple when civilian. It was exhausting acting smart, professional and tough all day long. But his boss seemed to like it, as she kept throwing promotions at him.
But for now, he went to visit uncle Lukas only to find a beauty opening the door. Marco wasn't unhappy about it, but: Hi, I'm sorry, he said to the pretty lady, I'm looking for Lukas and was told he lived at this adress.
The woman smiled at him with a grin he recognized well: You are at the right place. I am Nawar, Lukas' wife, her voice deep and enthralling. He even got invited in.

The phone rang when beautiful Nawar went to fetch Lukas.
I've told you already Esther; we divorced, there's nothing else to talk about! Why did she keep phoning him? It was over, and she was the one that ended it! He hung up as Lukas approached.

Such a smoking hot young babe wife, and she was classy! Not some bimbo that made people roll their eyes. Older women when he was young, younger women when he was old! Uncle Lukas was the most awesome guy ever!
Nawar was clearly pregnant, glowing and reeking of hormones. Marco chose to ignore the very telling look she sent him, and chatted up the old man instead.
Hey Lukas, how's everything? He talked a bit about the weather and such as the guy was a bit silent.

As his wife finally went up the stairs (high heels and a stomach... so hot...) the old man completely turned his mood around. Glaring at the much younger man, he hissed silently: I'd highly preffer you didn't contact us again. Leave my house!

The old fairy was clearly jealouse, and Marco made sure to make it run even deeper in the old man. If he wanted Nawar, he could have her an day. An old man like Lukas wasn't enough for such a hot blooded woman, no matter how nice a sim she was.
Sometimes words aren't needed, and Marco had one of those faces that said a lot. So he gave the fairy an all knowing smile, and left. Not that he was planning on sleeping with his wife, but what old men don't know...

--------------------------------------------------------------

Why would someone make a statue of such a chunky bloke, Joe wondered as he went through the artgallery. Hornedhorsey had been acting temperamentful, but all in all she was nice to him. His butt hurt from all the riding, and she rarely tried biting him. She didn't like any of the names he'd tried either.
Joe liked spending time at the gallery, even if he might not always agree what was good art. Like "fatdude in towel".

He even met Rye, who was working hard in the music business. The band was going on tour he said, but it didn't explain why he looked like an idiot. He'd put his mohawk in a ponytail, as it was a pain getting it to stand straight up. They talked so much that blondie had to drop everything and run to work all of a sudden.

Joe didn't care about Rye when he heard that girly, nasal voice talking. He told her about the unicorn that popped onto their lawn and she believed him! It was with big pride he told her about his new job as an equestrian. That would make him more interesting to the lovely Meave right? Probably? Maybe?

The old man was pretty angry with Marco, Joe said after telling about what the old vampire had said. And Meave laughed, a beautiful pearly laughter that made his heart skip a beat. He imagined them riding into the sunset on the unicorn. She'd hold him tight around the waist and lean her cheek agains his shoulder.
But realisticly speaking, she'd be riding wildly around, shooting up stuff, whilst laughing insanely and him clinging to her with his bare life. The unicorn would probably enjoy it to, with redglowing eyes and fire standing out it's nostrils. Crazy animal...

How is the pointy stuff anyway? Meave asked abot the unicorns horn.
It's long and really hard!! Joe answered when she asked him about the unicorns horn. The horn I mean! The unicorn! Gaaah! He was such an idiot, and far from a smooth talker. Meave made his hands sweaty, and he kept loosing focus and just stared at her. It didn't get better that she started laughing at the comment. Every single one in that family had a terrible sense of humour. Ofcourse she wouldn't have laughed if he hadn't gotten embarrassed to begin with.

Focus... Joe stared at Meave hoping to look legit. It was a lack of focus that made sure he had went to the old venue station with her. And now she was talking. Not that he was paying to much attention as his surroundings vanished whenever she was around.
She was talking about some weapons though, she usually was. Joe kept nodding here and there as she talked. Her skin looked so silkysmooth...

Now you wouldn't think it was possibly killing someone with a paintbrush right?
Fascinating.... he answered as he looked at her hair. It caught the lights so beautifully, and it smelled so good.... just like her... Even the moist scent from the surroundings dissapeared. Maybe it was because he was crazy.

And those deep brown eyes that kept looking at him. Joe wasn't stupid, he realized that him and Meave wasn't going to happen. But a man is allowed to dream right?
They blew up every single bridge, but that last one..... they just didn't have the time!! If they had gotten that...
Mhm.... Joe answered as he took a peek at the uncovered parts of her body. That was okay right? He was just looking, not imagening anything! He imagined stroking his fingertips over her hips...
Work with me here brain!!! Joe mentally yelled at his brain.

An umbrella gun!! How cool isn't that?! It wasn't really a question, but a statement.
Neat.... he answered. It was probably normal that he thought she'd be beautiful pregnant, especially with his baby. Eventually they would have grandchildren, and they would grow old together. A white house by the river, a couple of rocking chairs on the porch. They could watch the sunset and hold hands whilst they were old and grey...

From an imaginery world of beautiful sunsets, and them beeing grey and old surrounded by two dogs, a unicorn, a babyunicorn and a dozen of grandchildren: I'm sorry, Meave said with selfirony: I'm boring you aren't I?     No no, he wasn't lying. He hadn't payed attention at all.
My boyfriend says I'm to focused on weapons and warfare. He has a point, but in my profession...

The unicorn had threatened to pick his heart out with it's horn, and Joe would gladly preffer that. It felt like someone stomped at it too. Ofcourse she had a boyfriend! Why wouldn't she? He was the only hermite around.
Oh? I don't mind! Joe did his best to look natural and like he hadn't got a aching heart. Unfortunately he also said: Mhm... to something else she said.

He really needed to start paying attention to what she said. Atleast he wasn't the only one with a terrible singing voice. She was so cute when she sang poorly and missed the lyrics.

---------------------------------------------------

There's an old saying that tells that time heals all wounds, but it's not true. Anyone that says that hasn't truly been wounded. You just get so used to hurting that it becomes a part of you, and you start ignoring it. And life goes back in it's usual tracks.
Marco was a racer in his job, and it took up a massive part of his time. Him and Dominic kept beeing sent on stakeouts. It was so boring and all the paperwork sucked!
Jerichos criminal syndicate had been lying low for ages, after beeing pretty much eradicated by the Riverwiev gang. Some revengecrap that he honestly didn't care about. They were trying to get back their former powers, and since cops had to follow the law there was little they could do. They also suspected someone in higher positions held a protective hand over them.
In cop- speak that meant: It'll take years and years of surveillance, and maybe when your grandchildren are grown up cops could do something! Waiting was horrible!!
Atleast he started feeling like himself again.

But when he dug out his jetski, and took it for a ride he realized the hurting had become a part of him. And he forgot it was even there, when the blood started pumpin and the familiar rush ran through him. Not as awesome as before an arrest, or armed actions but it was a good substitute.

One thing that time healed, was how much control you have over yourself around certain sims. And for the first time, Marco could honestly say: Hi Esther. Sure we can meet up , but I'm really busy at work at the moment. But we'll meet up some other time okay? I'll call you later. That had been easy.

I thought actors were supposed to go on strange diets, and never ate. Marco said to Ally. They kept bumping into eacother at the strangest places. Maybe her acting careere would be easier if she did the same things as others did when they wanted to be famous. Be naked in a lot of movies, put nudephotos online, be nude in some magazines, "accidentally" let the press get a hold of a private sexvideo...
When he thought about it, getting famous didn't seem so difficult. Maybe that's why she did it her own way, so she wouldn't be stuffed in a booth with the rest of them.
I eat what I want... Ally smiled. She probably though he was jealouse of her hotdog.

The autumndays had been really warm and sunny lately, the little rain that fell did it's best to wash the city clean. But it fell short of it's task and just made the sims on it's path damp instead.     As usual, Ally shared to much information: So, my boyfriend broke up with me, she coughed out a laughter: We had an open relationship.... I kind of forgot to tell him though.... her coughlaughter died out and was replaced by a long, awkward sigh. Marco was smart enough to make out was she wasn't saying open.
He wasn't great with feelings, but this was a speech he's made many times. He'd learned from past mistakes, and beeing honest was no problem: Look Ally, you're great. You're fun, unique (weird) and beautiful, but I'm not interested in anything serious.
Divorcing really hurt! Everyone always told how great it was, but he just felt like a failure. Maybe he just wasn't cut out for marriage and relationships. It had just been something special about Esther.

Ally gave him a smile, and said: Oh! Me neither! I work such odd hours it just doesn't work having a relationship! And guys always gets so needy and clingy on me for some reason! That was probably because they mistook her choice of style as a cry for help and attention. Big mistake....
Yeah, what a surprise... he answered, but Ally didn't take the irony.

I can't believe you invited me bowling.... she said dryly. She was an up and coming actor for crying out loud. Marco was to busy enjoying the view to pay attention. And women wondered why guys kept inviting them doing something lame as bowling?
Not that he really had time to entertain a lady.... Ally right now. He was really just killing time before work. It was another stake- out... so boring.... unlike that rear!

They went another place to get a snack, and this bar wasn't to bad. It didn't take long until she made her intentions clear. Putting a hand on his shoulder, giving her best seductive look she went: You're really hard muscled....
     No shit.
There's a lift right out the hallway... she said suggestivly.

The lift? Really? He wasn't an animal, those places had cameras! And it was illegal ofcourse. But more importantly; he cared for her, she wasn't some random stranger after all.
Ally... Marco stroked her cheek. If I'm to sleep with you I want to do it properly. Not some quicky in a public place.
Aw, she looked so dissapointed, and a bit happy. He continued: And I already told you I have to work tonight. Sometimes work really sucked.

As tempting as the offer was, he had to leave for work, Marco promised to phone her later and sealed the deal with a kiss.
Either buy something or leave!! The woman behind the bar barked at them. What a hag.
---------------------------------------------------------
It feels a bit strange having Ally and Marco having fun, since Florian is her genetic father. But she has so little of him in her. Allys boyfriend did break up with her, so SP is helping me along nicely this time.
It should probably have been a bit more discussing, and disbelief with the whole unicorn thing. But there's a limit to how much one can squeeze out of that subject. And I know the whole "halfbreed" thing sounds a bit thin, but I want to keep the opportunity open if I feel like adding some supernatural stuff. You won't see Marco start shooting up fireballs though.

And I'm sorry about the time continum, or however that's said in english. You will see both Esther, and a boring stakeout, but it'll be a while.

and now to something completely different. Remember a couple of chapters ago? Well, I had Marco and Sunniva woohooing, and as it turns out a cheated on husband will automatically start fighting.

If every husband/boyfriend of some womansim Marco has slept with is going to attack him, he's in for a lot of fights. Oh and it turned out that Sunnivas husband; Rikard is Joes brother... whoops....

Thanks for reading :)
