She sent them off to the police, to try to get more information about the sisters deaths. When, where, if there were more involved? If the bodies were moved and a lot more. No way in hell would the cops answer that. The authopsy probably wasn't even done yet.
She pretended beeing shocked, when it turned out the town had an entire museum dedicated to their grandmothers artwork. It didn't feel to good lie to her brother like that, but she swore to him she needed to visist the place. To see if she could find any clue in their grandmothers artwork.
The excuse had been lame, but he actually bought it. It never dawned on her until now, how little the people around her understood about the work she did. Or how much they actually trusted her word.
So now they were at the policestation, and she was at a museum. She wasn't an arthater in any way, but didn't get it. Somethings were nice, other things were ugly, but who decided it was art? Ah, well. The important thing was that her brother was occupied.
As usual, the towns weirdos and freaks flocked to her, discussing the paintings and istallations. They were probably nice though, and no one gave her "crazy eyes" or babbled to someone that wasn't there. Man, she missed the oddballs in Jericho.
But with the large museum actually made her wonder; maybe the locals were familiar with the lady.
Iva swallowed her shyness and approached one of the sims next to her. The lady had glowing eyes, but obviously wasn't a vampire. Wait, was that a werewolf? For the love of.....
She was at her best behaviour: Hello there! My name is Iva Sleitinn. I'm an author and was wondering if you might be able to help me with something. I'm writing a book about your fabulous, local artist Isobel Ichiro. But I'm having quite some trouble finding information about her...
People were really naive here. In Jericho the woman would most likely have peppersprayed her.
Oh my! How exciting!! Really lady? I'd be happy to help in what way I can.
It turned out to be lucky, as the lady, by the name of Carrie, worked as a local historian. After talking about the towns history from the stone age, up to today, she finally got to the point.
Isobels family? Well, they do say the house is haunted by some of the former owners.
House? What fucking house? It turned out the building still stood, vacant, lost and empty. The city would lend Iva the key, so she could take a look herself. Carrie would make sure of it.
They do say that the houses' residents was murderers, did you know that?
Of course she knew, but she pretended it was all new to her.
The woman continued: There was a lot of homeless and prostitutes dissapearing at that time, but no one even dreamed of the Ichiro family beeing the perpetrators. They were such benefactors for the town. The owners were vampires, so I guess they needed their cattle. But, and she leaned forward this time: It was told that the owners were murdered by the boy living with them. Only a girl and the artists survived that kid.
Local historian or not, that was pretty much all Carrie knew, and this Florian figure, was still hidden. Iva didn't find it strange that the entire incident had been hushed down, as the press was nicer before. It was also quite common to hide information about cases where kids were involved, and when the people involved could still be alive.
Ivas shere presence must have caused a ruccus of some sort, as a man approached her. To her surprise, she found him quite attractive, even if he was a vampire. His extreme masculine features and dark voice made her tingle all over. He didn't seem uninterested in her either.
She made the same phrase to him, as he stopped her talking: I know who you are. I heard you talking with the werewolf. He introduced himself as Michael.
Great, she said trying to focus on what she was thinking. Damn, that man made it hard to remember her question.
Are you familiar with the name Florian? The artists brother.
The man looked at her again, clearly checking her out.
Well, there is a local artist only known as Florencio, who seem to share a lot with miss Ichiros artwork. However, the similarities aren't that big, so there's little evidence supporting the theory of art- theft. Even if someone, he was hinting to Carrie, seem to think Florencio and Florian are the same person. That's strange, Carrie hadn't mentioned that to her, but maybe the hot guy just assumed she had.
Michael continued: When it comes to the rumours about the vampires bodies dissapearing from the morgue, it's just rumours. Their tombstones are at the graveyard.
Iva jumped. Where the hell did that come from? Carrie hadn't mentioned anything about that either.
The vampire smiled at her: You would have found that rumour soon anyway. The townsfolk says the house is haunted by the ghosts of the the same vampires too, so.....
She smiled, as the man studied her. He looked like he wanted to say something else, but ended up excusing himself instead. The guys break was over, and he needed to get back to work.
But he was able to leave with a: I hope to meet you again soon, miss Sleitinn.
Crap, she thought to herself. The man had been hotter than hell. She so had to find another excuse to look him up. And why did she have that strange feeling of someone staring at her?
Oh, it's just you! She exclaimed at seeing Gard behind her. Not even understanding why she'd gotten nervouse to begin with.
Stupid Gard had probably scared the hot guy away. And what the hell was he staring at anyway? He seemed to be sniffing the air too.
Ah, she smiled to herself, feeling a bit selfconcious at the same time. Really Gard? she thought at the sight of the hot blond at the doorway. She'd always wished to be curvy too. For now, she only had a big but, and tiny breasts.
He finally gave her some attention, his face looking pretty normal again.
You didn't pick up your cell, his voice sounded normal too. But then again, anything seemed ordinary compared to sexy Michael. He continued: We found the place your sisters died. Marek and Lukas are there already.
Iva tried hiding her shock, barely listening she could hear him going on: Lukas smoothtalked some policewoman, I have no idea how he does that. She spilled everything we wanted to know and more.
Fucking fairy! They weren't supposed to find anything! Ah, well. Marek wasn't any wiser either way. Hopefully. Crap, how was she supposed to hide everything for her brother, when they turned out to be this good at finding information. When had they gotten so good at that?
And what the hell was up with gingerfangs there anyway? He acted even stranger than usual.
Iva? Is there something you aren't telling me?
Fuck!! She smiled at him: Ah, yes actually! It turns out mums childhood home still stands! I figured I'll get the key from the localhistorian, and take a look at it later.
She smiled at him again: Let's go find the others then!!
Trying to get the damn vampire off her case, she teased him a bit instead: You know Gard, I never would have guessed you were into the slutty type!
Huh? He looked at her a second.
Oh, please, she giggled. You were totally checking her out!
After a long moment seeming confused, he woke up and went: Oh! Oh yeah!! Totally! You know me, can't stay away from those hot...... brunettes?
Blondes... Iva interrupted him.
Yeah, blondes. That's what I meant! Love me those blondes in... skirts?
Shorts.....
He smiled at her. That's what I said. You know me so well, don't you?
She served him a toothy grin: Don't worry. Your dirty secret is safe with me. Hey Gard? How long does vampires live now? She didn't mention sexy Michael and his obviously older age.
Same as ordinary sims, which I've told you several times before. Why? He seemed friendly curious about it.
No reason. She innocently said. No way hotter than hell Michael, could be that much older than her anyway.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The snow laid a white carpet over the world, making the place of the crime look cozy. Not to mention it was scaringly close to the sims in this shithole.
If there were any signs of the deaths, they now laid under a heavy, white layer. Marek and Lukas stood waiting for them, not wanting to see the scene of death before she got there. She felt a wave of sympathy towards her brother, that he really assumed she'd care that much.
They hadn't gotten far, when the two supernaturals put on a show.
Ugh! That smell!! Gard seemed to want to run away.
Damn!! Even Lucas was reacting.
What's up with you dramaqueens? Iva couldn't help but giggling, respectfully ofcourse. Sims had died here, after all. Even if they were hardened criminals.
Covering their noses, she heard Lukas' muffled voice: Are you serious?! You can't smell that?!
It smells just fine, Marek said. You two are just trying to make yourselves interesting.
Iva was going to bite though: And what excactely is it that you boys are smelling?
Werevolves!!! They said it simultaniously.
Then Gard continued: It smells like witchesfire and burnt werewolf fur!!!
I hate werewolves! They stink!! Lukas didn't have any problems airing his dislike of others.
How many died here anyway?? It reeks of burning flesh!! Gard kept complaining.
Iva rolled her eyes, that couldn't be right. Sneaking a look at her brother made her wonder though. Wait. Was he keeping secrets from her? She took an even better look at him. Look at that guilty face! He was going to leave her out in the blind!!
She grabbed a hold of him.
Hey! What did the police tell you?
He didn't look directly at her. Apperently the cop lied....
Or maybe she didn't actually know? The police doesn't know every little thing, about every single case you know. What were you going to lie about?
Marek sighed heavily, he bet other sisters weren't this difficult. She said that Valerie and Adela was killed separate from the rest.
He took a break before going on: But she said they were killed here. And the rest at some other place. I didn't get any reactions from those two at the other place, so nothing happened there. No Adela, no Valerie, nothing.
She really felt sorry for her brother this time, he wanted so badly to find something meaningful.
The Riverwiev gang was lead by a witch, he said. But most of the gang were werewolves. There's been some attempt at a shift in power, but the witch didn't want that. So he sent the Jerichosyndicate a message of cooperation.
No wonder the cops had been hanging outside her house.
He asked for witches ofcourse. Jericho sent a gang, lead by our sisters. But the Riverwiev- witch was killed off before they got here, and the werewolves full out killed the Jerichogang. The brutality agains Valerie and Adela was likely a message to others with that type of ideas.
The Jericho gang mostly had ordinary sims, but they had been able to scrape together a couplemore witches.
The two others were almost done complaining about the smell at this point. Gard interrupted them, to their surprise. It was usually Lukas' job: Must have been a hell of a lot of werewolfes then. They looked at him.
Yeah, Lukas jumped in. Your sisters were really powerfull, way more powerful than any stinky werewolf.
Gard nodded. Definitely. I can't even imagine what type of Werewolf was powerful enough to take out those two.
Well, Iva looked at the two. What type of werewolf could kill those two off?
They'd need more than one, probably a handfull or two atleast.
Gard nodded. Other than that, only a genie would be powerful enough.
Or a vampire! Lukas said.
Nah. Maybe in the old days, when we lived several centuries, but not now. No one can get that powerful, other than genies.
Marek looked at them: Are you telling me that witches are the most powerful supernaturals?
They shoock their heads. No, genies are the most poweful ones. Other than that, none are stronger than others. But your sisters were unnaturally powerful. That's rare today. Throw in your dad with those two, and together they'd blast this shithole into oblivion.
Only werewolves are weak, their strength is in numbers. Lukas shared his thoughts again. And in smell....
They are not that weak blondie..... But stink. Yes, they stink. Can knock out anyone, or anything with a nose.
Her brother looked tired. So there was no nice backstory to their sister demise then. As she suspected. Marek looked at her, those dark eyes had a deep sadness in them.
I was hoping to find something else, something deeper. But there isn't any is it? Iva shook her head at him.
I'm sorry Marek, she was truthful this time. I found the house mum grew up in though. Do you want to go and look at it with me?
He shook his head. No, I'll try find the place our sisters died. I still want to see it.
Okay, she said, eventold him were the house was. At this point, Iva didn't need to see the place, but to be honest, she was simply curious.
The boys were going to go back to the police station, and try to find the real place they terrible twosome died.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Iva was lucky as she came out of Carries office, holding the key to her mothers childhood home. Marek was sad, and unfortunately found out the truth about their sisters. He wouldn't have, if it weren't for the damn fairy ofcourse. Then again, his friends could smell the truth, so maybe they would have found it either way. She still wondered when the hell those two learned how to do those things. Smelling what happened, getting cops to tell them classified information. More importantly, why couldn't she?
Miss Sleitinn...
Iva turned around to find sexy Michael standing there. She smiled at him, hoping he would accnowledge her interest. She was way to shy to initiate anything.
Hello Michael, she giggled, regretting it immedeately. Why couldn't she ever stay normal around hot guys? She was not going to act like she did with Lukas. No way! This man was way more sophisticated than him either way.
He returned her smile. Did you find what you were looking for, miss Sleitinn? She smiled at him. Please, call me Iva.
Did you find what you were looking for Iva? His deep voice made her tingle again. Even his glowing eyes made her knees weak. She smiled dreamily at him.
Ah, yes. She tried remembering what she was supposed to do.
The historian lend me the key to the artists home. I figured I'll go up there now, just to have a look around.
Really, this late in the evening? He smiled and she returned it without even noticing.
Yeah, she suddenly eyed a small hope on how to drop a hint to the sexy man. I figured if I do it tonight, I'll have all of tomorrow off. Iva hoped sexy Michael would get the hint. Please get the hint!!
So, going up to a haunted house, all alone? In the dark? Okay, he was definitely flirting with her.
She flirted back, Iva style: Oh, it's haunted?! I thought that was just a rumour? Gosh, that sounds a bit scary. Maybe I should wait. Like Iva was scared of some fucking ghost rumours.
He leaned agains her, nearly whispering in her ear: What kind of a man would I be, if I let a beautiful woman visit a haunted house all alone?? Michaels breath against her neck, gave her goosebumps. Good goosebumps!!
Iva had never been called beautiful before. Not by anyone! She'd never thought she'd fall for something so simple as that, but she plain out did. Fell like... well, like snow on a wintersday.
Michael looked deeply into her eyes, she just couldn't bring herself to break the eyecontact. She was so getting laid tonight!!!! Don't giggle Iva! Don't jump up and down and clap your hands!!! she thought to herself.
Suddenly he broke eyecontact, but kept the smile. I'm so sorry Iva. I forgot I have a meeting in a short while. Perhaps we can meet tomorrow?
Naturally she was dissapointed, but when he suggested the coffehouse at seven, Iva couldn't help but agree.
She watched him walk into a nearby office buildind. Crap. She wasn't getting laid tonight. The thought of having a date with sexy- Michael made her giggle again. It was worth waiting another night for a man like that!
Strange, now she had that feeling of someone looking at her again.
Gard! Damn, you have got to stop scaring me like that!
He appologized, but clearly didn't mean it. Marek wanted me to go with you. Said he wasn't to keen on you going to a crappy old building alone. I tried your phone again, Iva, are you sure it's nothing wrong with it?
She had a stupid grin on her face, and would preffer going alone. But couldn't get rid of the vampire without seeming suspicious. Ah well, he didn't know what had happened anyway. Worst case, she'd just ask him to shut up. No way he could sniff ancient history.
He tilted his head, looking at her: What are you looking so mischievious about?
Nothing... the dreamy sigh that escaped probably gave it off.
The house looked just as creepy as it had to.
It's a bloody fortress. Gard uttered Ivas exact thoughts.
The doors and windows were of metal, not wood, and so heavy that even the rust couldn't take it out. It was empty and smelly, and bore no sign of care or love in any way. And, as Iva noticed. It had the same widows as the museums "black room".
After a quick look around Iva was relieved as to find nothing of interest. Besides, Gard was looking around himself in that strange way again. Maybe he smelled werewolves? No he'd say that. Wait, there were rumours that the place was haunted!
Just in case, she stood closer to him. forgetting that she usually was a bit nervous for him. Not that she was afraid ofcourse, but ghosts was ethereal weren't they? She couldn't beat them up. On the other hand, neither could he. Damn.
Gard, she said. Is this place haunted?
He grinned: No. Who told you that? And since when are you afraid of ghosts? I thought you reserved fear for me?
Hey, what's that? Iva jumped at the sudden change in his voice. Still jumpy, she scuttled over to where he stood. It's a bookshelf down there. Still with books in it. I say we go down and take a look.
Marek found was he was looking for, we don't have to keep searching for something that isn't there.... Iva did her best to get him off the idea. But as usual, men just never listen.
Gard stared at the bookshelf for a while, whilst Iva actually did something. Thankfully it was nothing interesting.
Irritated she said: It's actually possible to help me you know!!!
He started grabbing some of the books, and pushed at the wall behind them. Just to reveal that the bookshelf functioned as a door.
Damn..... Was that how a genious worked? They just looked at things and got it?
The room was empty say for a door. A heavy, rusted type that locked itself.
He didn't even take the time too look at her, before he went an promptly opened it. It had a lock on the outside. The door fought quite a bit, not beeing opened in many years, but eventually gave up.
Iva had hoped not to find evindence of the rumourse she'd found. She put a book under the bottom of the door, to prevent it from slamming shut, locking them in. Then she went in after him.
She sighed. Damn lukas, leading Marek straight to their sisters deathplace. Damn Gard finding Isobels cell, and damn herself for looking into it to begin with.
Why the hell wouldn't her stupid brother let her look into things alone? Then she wouldn't have to find things like this, or to try to come up with bad plans that didn't work anyway.
Gard looked around in the room. I assume this is what you've been hiding? She looked at the floor, trying to make up a lie.
*click*
To think such a small sound, could be so loud.
Iva heard Gards deep voice clearly in the almost empty room: You didn't just leave that door open, without making sure it stayed open, right?
Crap.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Still hanging with the story?? Just ignore the parts where it gets to thin, it's just a simstory after all. The scene in the museum was to great, the place got packed with supernaturals as soon as Iva stepped in there. There's even a genie present. Actually Iva's the only sim there.
I swear, there is a point to all this, and I'll tell when it's all over. Promise.
Thanks for reading.. Really. This is one long chapter.
