The spot was perfect. There! Slamming her clenched hand against the button, she just hoped that it would work.
Was it the right spot? This was to exciting, she could barely wait. Her heart pounded heavily in her chest... please...
The claw was barely hanging on to the bunny. Still with a beating heart, Aino hoped it would work. It was so cute, and she really wanted it. it would make her life complete, she would be so good to it, and they would be bestfriends! Pleeeeeease....
The bunny fell straight back into the pile of toys: Noooo!!!! It was good that she was the only one there yet. She'd been out early, to make sure she got to The Claw before all the kids, they were always in the way when she tried to use it. And their parents started grumbling, just because she didn't stop before she'd gotten a toy. Stupid parents...
You know what Claw? This isn't over..... Time to get busy, because this could take a while.
Hairball? Yarn? Oh, it was a yeti. But no...
Was that a bag full of simoleons?! What? No way that was real! Or was it? Well, it didn't matter because it fell straight back to the rest of the toys.
Diamond! Nooooo!!! This diamond was not a girls best friend!
Rocketship, now that would be neat to get! But no such luck.
She nearly swallowed her tongue when The Claw grabbed hold of a teddybear that looked like her old doll. Then she nearly bit it off as it fell down into the rest of the toys again. What a ripoff!
But as many fails as she had, the machine was finally good to her.
Victory!!! And a whole sheep richer!
This was one damn fine sheep! Bet the stupid kids were jealous of her fine wool right now.
For once, she wasn't present without a reason, as the approaching sim asked: What are you doing?
Playing with ma sheep! What are you doing? It was all healthy and normal for a grown sim to play with a toysheep: What are you looking at....
Imma looking at you! Why do you look so fancy? She giggled a bit, still euphoric from the victory. He did look fancy, and his shoes were awesome. Aino liked shoes.
I've been at my parents... Aino, what are you looking at? She giggled again, men were stupid. Bet he thought she was looking at his... well, it didn't matter.
Aino stared back at some kid who either wanted to use The Claw, or he wondered why they were sitting on the floor. It probably had nothing to do with seeing a grown sim playing with a freaked out sheep.
Still looking at the kid, she asked: So why do you dress so posh when you're meeting your parents? maybe they didn't have as good contact as her and dad
There's a limit to how many of my dads "jokes" I can handle. Someone needs to tell him that he's not funny. So not bad blood then, just the "funny dad" that didn't get that he just embarassed his kids. Or more likely, the dad knew exactely what he was doing, which was why he kept doing it.
Daniel seemed to be deep in thought anyway, and he didn't say anything for a while. Maybe he was worrying about something?
What are you thinking about? Aino smiled, from time to time staring back at the kid that stood at the same spot. Really, what was he staring at?! It wasn't like they were sitting in front of the machine or anything!
Hm? Nothing special.... But he kept thinking, she saw he was thinking.
She didn't like it when he wasn't happy, so she asked: Do you want me to get you something from The Claw? It just took me two and a half hour to get the sheep?
Hm? No... no thanks, I'm fine. Two and a half hours for a sheep? She could've just bought one from the nearest store.
Was it her? Had she done anything? It wasn't like they'd ever gotten around to talking about them, but they'd kept meeting up, and sleeping together. Strangely enough Daniel wasn't big on talking about feelings; which was okay, because neither was she. Unless, when she was up for talking about her feelings.
Maybe he regretted it? After all, she'd just spent nearly three hours trying to get a toy from a machine. What type of grown up did that? She was supposed to be sophisticated and mature, like her mum had been.
Staring down at the sheep, still moving it around, she'd stopped playing with it. For now she just used it so she didn't have to look at him. He definitly regretted it. She'd regret sleeping with her to, if she was him. But she wasn't sure why he'd kept sleeping with her then, because he wasn't exactely difficult to persuade.
Do you... I mean....We don't have to keep.... you know... she mumbled the last part so potential kids didn't hear: we don't have to keep sleeping together if you don't want to... ....I mean, it's okay with me if you want to be friends instead. Aino put the sheep down next to her, when she finished the sentence. He didn't say anything for a while, just kept looking at her with a half- smile. Had she said something stupid again? She kind of did that a lot.
I don't regret anything. Who in their right mind would regret sleeping with her? Besides, they were grownups, not teenagers: I'd like to keep seeing you. He was mainly just worried about his parents, because they were getting really old. And especially his father seemed to be in poor shape. Not that he told her ofcourse, there was a limit to how much he wanted to worry her: You look gorgeous today. Bet that's why that creepy teenaged boy kept staring at you...
His attempts at changing the subject didn't make any difference ofcourse: Are you sure it's not me? It was probably her: I mean.. it's okay if you don't want to... He was probably just trying to be polite, and didn't want to say anything with that many sims around. Why had she gotten that damned sheep?!
No, it's not you. Nothings wrong, everything's fine. So he grasped for a straw: Hey, I have a little surprise for you. Or, something you might appreciate.
Oh? She liked surprises, but sometimes she didn't like surprises.
Yeah. My brother has tickets for that spookyday thing down at the artgallery. It was a first time try from the cities new culture- commitee: he couldn't make it, so he offered them to me instead. Do you want to go? Aino usually wasn't a big fan of spooky day, it was something about honouring the dead that made her skin crawl. But she'd read about that in the newspapers culture section.
Daniel kept going: I know dead stuff freaks you out, but I doubt a bunch of culture- snobs is going to run around with scary costumes....
Okay! I'd love to go! He had a point! It wasn't some high- end thing for the rich and famous; well, a lot of them were actually really rich. But instead of actors and models; it was screenwriters and artists. So famous, just not popculture famous. That also meant no paparazzo, no newspapers and no newsstations: Wait, why does your brother have tickets? She hoped he was an artist: He's a screenwriter... Hadn't he told her that already?
Daniel had to admit that he'd never even consider it, if it hadn't been for Aino. She kind of liked the artsy stuff from what he got. She even painted a lot, but said she didn't want to be an artist: You know.... she interrupted his thoughts: a lot of those culture-types have quite a lot of simoleons....
Yeah?
I bet that you could find some wealthier clients there.... From what they say at work, going to a psychic is the new thing. Instead of psychologist that is. Psychologists were full of crap to, so no difference in her opinion atleast.
Could she get more perfect? Is that so?
Yup! And they have the simoleons to spare. She knew he felt a bit guilty about getting payed by sims with normal income. Not that she got why, they went of their own free will after all. It wasn't like everyone that believed stuff like that was crazy and needed help: I bet if you flirt a bit with some of the wealthier ladies there, they'll throw simoleons at you.
No, it was official, she couldn't get any more perfect. If she did, pigs would fly by and the sky fall on their heads. Didn't mean he shouldn't pretend though: What? I don't flirt...
Quickly sliding up to him, Aino started kissing and talking sweetly: yes you do. I don't mind, she lied. She hated it!! But, she'd just had to realize that it was a part of his personality. She wasn't even sure if he noticed most of the time. She kissed him again: I trust you.... then she kissed him again; then more times keeping them soft and loving.
Why are you beeing so sweet? Daniel smiled at her. Not that he was bothered by it, but it was getting a bit suspicious: What do you mean? I'm always this sweet. Can you read me a romantic poem? Bet who won, stupid Maren with eyes like the blue sky! Hah! Seeing Daniels pretend- ex behind him, Aino did her best not letting the smug feeling stay for to long. She didn't really want to be mean, but...
That's not going to happen. Poetry? He didn't even know what the point was. He just assumed that poets didn't know how to write a proper story.
Aino managed to get even more cuddly. Daniel got that she was romantic; as long as he didn't have to recite poetry. And it was nice walking out and find a romantic little note from her in the mailbox. A bit corny, but sweet none the less.
Leaning in to kiss him a bit more, Aino managed to take a quick look at Marlenmarlin... Go away! And stupid Dave and his stupid grin! She hoped he chocked on his food. No, she had to stop. It was so mean of her: So does this mean you're happy about the tickets?
Aino didn't slide into his lap on purpose; or to tell the other sim "I won" or anything. Just a natural thing to do in the middle of a fair with lots of kids around: I am. I'll go to something that even my boss wasn't invited to. You look really hot today... He did, he was hot when he looked like a regular sim. Wondered how he looked in a suit, she kind of liked suits.
I know... We're a very hot couple. And having her in his lap like that was very nice.
Nothing said "weirdo" like staring into eachothers eyes for way to long, until the vast majority of the guests couldn't stand if longer- and left. Well, no one forced them to be right where they were at: Our kids would've looked gorgeous.
Aino wasn't sure why he'd mention that, but she did kind of want kids. And mum wanted to be a grandmother: Now your just joking. Well, not that she didn't think their kids would look good, but... actually; didn't kids usually turn out ugly if one of the parents were attractive?
Get a room!!!
Fuck you! Daniel growled after the man before he even had time to leave. Fucking arse ruining the mood.
Maybe the bloke had a point, they'd chased the majority of the guests out: You want to get a room? He stroked her hair whilst saying it: Or, you know.. there's a kids hut in the tree outside here, if you're more adventurous.
She drew in his scent, he always smelled so good: You're offering me a treehouse? I'm a lady...
No, you're not.
She stroked a finger over the scar he had on his neck, he had someone on his shoulder to. Wonder why she hadn't noticed them when she'd thought he was her doll. The dark circles under his eyes showed that he lied, because he always had dark circles under his eyes when he worried about something. She bet he didn't sleep well when he was worried: I am to a lady...
Okay, you're a lady. But it's technically not a treehouse, it's a treecastle...
When he put it that way, she had to take a look. And it turned out it was a castle. This way she was a real lady, and not just a gross grown- up.
After they had gotten splinters and climbed down again, it turned out a little kid wanted to play in the treehouse to. Aino had rarer felt more perverted in her entire life.
Darnit! The boy said with disappointment: I wanted to play with you guys! Because playing with grown- ups was so much fun. They never wanted to play with him! Daniel quickly said: We're done playing.
But can't you play with me to?
No, we got splinters from playing. You should go and play with something else. Or you'll likely get splinters to. Mainly it was a bit wrong having a little kid playing innocently in the treehouse they'd just defiled.
The little boy started giggling instead: what are you looking at? Like Daniel didn't know. That didn't make it okay ofcourse. His parents should really teach him that that was not okay. The boy kept giggling like he'd discovered a secret: Nothing. Aino also wanted to know what the boy thought was so funny.
Stop that! Damn kids now a days didn't have any manners! The boy just kept giggling, her boobs nearly fell out from under the shirt! That was so funny. Boobs were funny: Hey kid! Knock it off!!
The little bastard finally decided to play in the treehouse instead. Hoped that little twerp got a splinter that got infected: I don't get it. What was he laughing at?
I have no idea, Daniel lied: Kids... probably something he thought of.
Oh okay. That sounded believeable, because it kind of looked like he'd stared at her boobs.

poses: there's to many, I'm to lazy to write then all down
Poor kid stood waiting for them to finish, ups. And I know it's lame with a party in each generation, but I try to have atleast one for each generation. Having social gatherings is something I'm really bad at doing, so I try to incorporate it a bit more. For this generation it's been just small family gatherings, but it's better than nothing. They get re- shot and changed, and this time it was a spooky day one. And I have so many fun costumes that I'll never use and I wanted to use them for something. Maybe for next gen I'll try to have some group outings instead, but I've had so bad experiences with them.
