2.27 Boyscout

                                                                 warning: language

The garage still smelled sweetly of soap and carpolish. The moist weather outside might have been a problem in most garages, but this was insulated and heated with all the comforts Marcos precious cars needed. All cars were welcome to this sanctuary, and was probably the cleanest, most welheld garage in simnation.
Calmy waiting for one of Marcos many lectures, Efraim tried not feeling to nausceous by the scented polish- how could he stand breathing this in hours and hours at a time: It was me. Technically it was his fault anyway, he was the oldest one and should have done something.
It suddenly dawned on him how large uncle Marco was. And why was he so skinny anyway? He was thinner than the girls! Dad wasn't perticullary skinny, neither had mum been. And uncle Rikard was a giant, so where did his skinniness come from?!

Good thing that uncle Marco wasn't anything to fear, because it would probably hurt a lot getting punched by him. He still would preffer dad doing the reprimanding as he usually let him get away with everything.
For some odd reason the entire household had to be present whenever one of them did something wrong. Marco was a firm believer in collective punishment. Which for Efraim and the boys once had included "the talk", yuk.... The girls were so lucky they hadn't have to listen to that. Between uncle Marco, dad and Bashir that had been... no... just no.... Not that he hadn't learned a trick or ten, but it was still all one big, massive, traumatizing "NO"!
Really? Marco sounded more tired than angry though: So you're telling me it was you that scratched my car? You?
Yes sir, I'm sorry, it won't happen again. Who was he trying to trick, ofcourse it would happen again.
You drive like an old man with a hat, and say you are the culprit?
He didn't drive like an old man with a hat! He drove with care and responsibility:Yes sir.
I'll try this again boy; You're telling me you took the car without asking, scratched it whilst driving like an old man with a hat...

....but it wasn't any of those two idiots, or both of them? Marco gestured towards Odin and Jarl.
No sir... Of course it was them. They always took their dads car. Usually it went fine, but this time it hadn't. But Efraim, and ofourse the girls, had known they took it. And when Marco had called them in to the garage asking, he'd jumped in an taken the blame. Mainly because he should have stopped them to begin with, and for once it was for a noble enough cause. Or so Odin had claimed atleast.
Really? So it was you, not one of those two dumbarses that no one understand how passed a driving test, and drives like roadkilled hedgehogs high on helium and amphetamine?
...uhm.... wha... what ... yes..? They didn't drive that poorly did they?
Uncle Marco came a bit closer to him, the deep voice lower than usual. It was always a bad sign when he lowered his voice: Did you know I can spot a liar from a distance Efraim?
Efraim focused on his breathing, best not show himself with typical liar- symptomes: Yes sir, I know.

So if I phone your girlfriend, she'll answer that you showed up at her house in this car, and not your dads?
This was not good: ..Ye... yes? Efraim really wasn't a good liar.
Joe figured it was time he stepped in, even if he didn't like reprimanding his son: If I ground you, so you won't be able to meet your girlfriend for the next month or so, you're still telling the truth right now?
Yes sir.... A month not seeing Marea? That was a long time, but atleast they could still meet in school right? And why was dad beeing so tough now all of a sudden?
Marco asked: You're sure she'll be fine with it to?

Was he a complete moron or something? Marea was going to skin him alive for that, but Efraim still answered: ....Yes s....
IT WAS ME!!! Odin jumped in, the words hanging in the air until he continued: It wasn't Effie it was me.... He should have just stepped up and taken blame to begin with, but just for once he'd like it not to be him! Saint Effie really needed to do something wrong sometime.
Jarls muscles visibly lost all tension, sinking together like a balloon loosing all air: And me. We both... He didn't finish the scentence.
Maybe the polish was getting to him, as Marco felt another headache creeping up. To believe he had complained about five toddlers? That had been a dream compared to all these teenagers. Five! And for some damned reason, it was always those two. ALWAYS! What the hell had they been thinking: What possessed you two taking the car without my permission?!

Lucky couldn't see how that could be so hard to understand: Because if they asked, you'd say no! Sheesh... grownups were so stupid. By the look that dad sent her, it was clearly best to stay out of it. Atleast Jarl gave her a thankful gaze.
I'm sorry dad, we were trying to impress a girl, Jarl said. But as usual Odin interruped, or "corrected" was more likely: I was trying to help a girl. She said she needed a lift, and it was raining so I thought I could.... Ofcourse he'd had a devious matchmaking plan going. If just Jarl went with him, this girl would realize what a great guy he was! She was fun to be around, and his brother really needed a girlfriend! Because getting a girlfriend always made everything better.
Marco rubbed his temples again, he had the worst type of headache now: Teenager headache: So a girl phoned you and asked you to drive her somewhere?

Was it Marea? Joe really hoped that was the case. Effie and her had been a couple forever, so a small scratch would probably be forgivable.
Why would she ask me to drive her anywhere? She would've asked Effie. Odin didn't get why, but as soon as someone was labled "dad" they just magically got stupid. By the look his of his own fathers face, it was best keeping the snippines down a few levels: Sorry... it was Lisa.
Who the hell is that? Marco barked out. Odin was one of those boys that had about three girlfriends a week, before they got sick of him and dumped him. Then he ended up crying and almost instantly falling in love with the next one.

Skuld spoke up: She's a girl in my class.
Smiling at his perfect little girl, Marco always felt extra proud. She never had any problems in school beeing a genious and all. His favourite part was that there was never any boys! Never. Not that there was any girls either: And she is....?
The type that hangs after younger guys and gets them to do stuff for her. She blows them as a reward. When had his innocent little baby learned language like that?

....Odin... Marco tried keeping his irritation down, but it was damned hard. That was just...
Huddling together, Odin quickly answered: It's not like that! I wouldn't do anything like that! Yikes, was Skuld trying to get him killed: She likes comics and computergames, and she's funny. I thought maybe if I helped her and took Jarl with me, she'd noticed him and he'd get a date.... His voice lowered with every word, before dissapearing into thin air.
I don't need help. Jarl whispered. He didn't. What he needed was to get rid of his grosse leaves and moss, and have normal skin and colours. Then everything would be better. He swore he got grosser the older he got. Now he had leaves, moss and gross hair on top of that. Were all boys as gross as him? Well, they were, just differently gross.

You tried getting a girl liking you, by doing stuff for her? Bashir usually stayed out of the discussions between Marco and his kids. He'd never get used to the whole reprimanding eachothers kids thing they did here. His own dad had just grabbed him by the ear and thrown him into his room whenever he did anything wrong. Which had happened quite often. Besides, he really wanted a sigarette, so he was generally to irritated to talk to anyone.
Well no, I tried getting a girl to like Jarl by doing stuff for her. Besides, what would've wrong with that?
Well, beeing nice to a girl doesn't mean she's obliged to date anyone as a reward....
I know that! Odin knew that, but he just knew that if she'd given Jarl a chance, he'd totally get a date, his brother was a great guy: You know this wouldn't have happened if we just got our own cars! Manlogics rocked. The look dad gave him, made him worried the old man would pop a vein.

I have a headache.... Odin, Jarl, you're grounded.. For some reason his headache didn't get any better. Wondered if they had any more painkillers.
     But...
NO "BUT"!!!! He yelled at them: Go to your rooms and leave the cells in their usual place! NOW!!!!! He roared to them as they jumped up and nearly ran to the room. Shouting after them he went: And stop playing matchmaker!!! That was just beyond creepy anyway!
You to, Joe said to Effie. When you're three guys living together, you have to make sure you're at the same page: For lying. Joe was lucky enough to have a son that just listened.

Bashir just threw his head to the side for his daughter. She sighed..... Really. How did dad always know everything? She couldn't keep a secret from him no matter how hard she tried: I know... I'm grounded to..... she sighed again dragging her feet after her as she went to the room. Sometimes she worried that dad could read her mind for real. And why didn't he even have to open his mouth to ground her? Wasn't that a bit strange?

Skuld didn't flinch as dad drew her in for a hug: As usual, my perfect little doll didn't do anything wrong. He hugged her a second time. It was nice when dad confirmed how great she knew she was: If anyone's getting a new car in this house, we know who that would be don't we? He smiled at his perfect little girl again.
Can I go now dad? Like she hadn't known that Odin and Jarl took the car without permission, they did that all the time. Dad was to old for that car anyway.
Patting her on the cheek, he said: Ofcourse my little babygirl, go and do something fun. Skuld didn't like fun, she wanted to work more on her alchemy but anything to keep him out of her hair.

Bashir studied that car, trying to find the infamous scratch. Marco had let him move in after Oriana passed away. Not that he hadn't been suspicious at first, they didn't really have the best history together. But eventually they'd almost found the good tone they'd had between them as teenagers again. Even if they annoyed eachother to no end, they strangely enough got along. Though he suspected the real reason was that Marco wasn't ready to let Lucrecia go yet. That man was terrified of beeing alone.

And even of he didn't say it, Bashir was quite thankful. Loosing his wife had been hard on all of them, and he'd barely hung together afterwards. He wasn't capable of taking care of himself, less likely a child. So he'd accepted and now it was like they'd never lived any differently. After staring at the car for a while, he noticed something: There's not a single scratch here.
Yes it it, Marco said, pointing again: It's right there!
Yeah, well I'm surprised it even has any colour left with the way you keep washing it all the time...
Aren't you a bit old for that car anyway? Joe interruped them.
Speak for yourself. My dad gave me that! He wasn't old!
This car says "I'm an old man desperate to relive my youth, and think I have a shot at barely legal girls"? Bashir said. He hated the way that car sounded anyway. It was loud and noisy, and made his ears hurt. And it polluted like hell to. Couldn't he just get a hybrid or el- car or something? The guy had enough simoleons.

He hated when they were right. Besides the seats made his butt fall asleep. He wanted a car with big soft seats that made it feel like he was sitting in a sofa all the time. But no enviromental- friendly car! That was unnatural! Besides they weren't fast enough, and owning one said: I've given up on life.

Like most alchemists Skuld preferred using her own table, but then there was dad wanting her "having fun". So mainly to get him out of her hair, she'd went down to the alchemy shop. Walking up to the clerk she said: You got any Trollhat? She didn't see any need for beeing polite, the man was just a clerk after all.
He sure wasn't looking at her eyes as he answered: I'm sorry girl, but that's venomous. You probably don't know this, but there's restrictions for selling.
Ofcourse she knew there were restrictions, she was far from an idiot. But clearly this guy was.

Clerkman had seen his share of emo- girls in this job, all thinking they were wiccans, hoping one day of discovering the source to beauty and love through alchemy and "witchcraft" which they knew nothing about either. Usually they listened to some symphonic metal whilst crying rivers of tears wondering why no one really understood them. They were quite easy to take advantage of: So, how old are you then little lady? He gave Skuld a creepy smile as he looked over her another time: Almost legal now right? He even managed to laugh at his own comment: I bet a pretty girl like you have tons of boys wanting to be your boyfriend... Clerkman knew just how to play this.

Ofcourse she had tons of guys hanging after her, it was a major pain in the arse! She just wanted to be left alone and work on her thing. She sure as hell wasn't getting any younger! Skuld swore there was an armada of teenaged boys and grown men that tailed her around everywhere she went. Luckily dad didn't let anyone inside the house; except Ian. He was the son of dads old partner that had just disappeared; Dominic or what's his name. That boy was always allowed inside the house, but atleast his courting wasn't all to bad. He kept following her around like a good dog and did everything she asked. But he was still a pain in the arse.
Despite that Skuld answered the clerkman, pretending she was shy: Oh no... No boys wants to be my boyfriend, since I'm to young to date and my mum says I'm not pretty enough. She had a pretty good idea where this was going, it was far from the first time. For some reason beeing blond made old men think she was stupid.

Clerkman wondered why he'd gotten so lucky. Getting this pretty thing in the sack was going to be a walk in the park. And she was blond to, everyone knew blonds were dumb: I'm so sorry to hear that, your mum are just jealouse because you're so pretty. And those boys are idiots. You are such a beautiful girl.
Skuld pretented she didn't know that already: Oh, your so nice for saying that. But I'm really not. She even managed to look like she believed it.
Oh yes you are, clerkman said taking a look around to see if anyone else were there. This was almost to easy: I'd love to kiss you. Really I would. You're such a pretty girl. Have you ever had sex before? A pretty girl like you must have slept with someone.

Managing a blush Skuld looked shocked and answered: No no! I've never done ...that... before! I'm not old enough, and my friend says it hurts a lot! I'm kind of curious, but I'm so afraid that it'll hurt! But no boys wants to kiss me either, so how will that ever happen. I don't know, she sighed: I think I'll die untouched and sometimes, I just wonder if I should just do it with the first one that offers! Not that Skuld actually had slept with anyone. Why the hell would she want to do that? What a waste of her valuable time.
Clerkman did his best trying not to jump up and down with joy. This was so easy! Usually it was a lot more difficult: It doesn't hurt at all. Well, if you do it with someone who knows what they are doing ofcourse. Some little, inexperienced boy couldn't possibly make it as good for you as.... oh.... I could, for instance!
What do you mean! As if she didn't know.
He even managed to laugh a bit again: I would love to make love to you. I have a backroom with a nice couch and anything. I'll make it so good for you you'll never...

Believe it or not, sometimes she actually forgot how stupid and gullible men were: You just offered me sex even if you know I'm a minor.
Clerkman smiled back at her: Well, I wouldn't call if offering. He chewed on it a bit: More like I'm willing to show you how amazing it could feel and...
It's still illegal, it was her turn to smile now: I'm sure your boss would love to hear about this.
Leaning over to her, clerkman had changed his attitude: You're the one that came on to me, and.... you really think anyone will believe some blonde little bimbo? An ugly whore like you should be thankful that any man even offered!! I have a wife and daughter.... she interrupted him before he told all of his boring lifestory. What was it with men that never stopped talking?
Look at me, she kept her smile: I'm not the ugly one here- And it doesn't matter what your boss thinks...

...because my dads a cop. Ever seen that highranking policeofficer on the tellie, the blonde? By the look on his face he had: Think about him, and then take a look at me.... Yeah, now about that Trollhat: You'll ignore any restrictions on that, and everything else that the city has laws against. And I don't care if it'll get you into trouble. Since I'm such a nice sim, I won't require it for free, but you will give me a good price. That sounds good to you, or do I tell my cop- dad you tried molesting his underaged daughter?
Clerkman slowly handed her the Trollhat over the counter without another word. Taking it from him Skuld wasn't just done yet: So you have a wife and daughter do you? Hm... interesting.... I think we'll keep this up for as long as I want, or I'll make sure to tell your wife. Bet she'll be thrilled. How about that? I'll see you around.

Hey, look at that. Skuld actually had fun when out of the house! She was going to listen to dad a lot more often!!

Even if the new house was large, the kids didn't have rooms of their own. Except Effie ofcourse, beeing the oldest had it's perks. He also had the by far most feminine room, with his love for soft- pink. But as Marco said; pink was the go-to colour for real men.
Odin and Jarl shared a room, and so did Skuld and Lucky. The adults had rooms of their own, which was unfair since they were all single, and would probably stay that way forever, since they were old. And old sims didn't date, or have sex since that was gross.

Do you ever think about her? Jarl and Efraim looked at Odin. Efraim rarely talked about his mum, she was dead after all. And Jarl didn't technically have a mum or dad. Not that he was angry at the others for having it, he thought about Marco as his father after all. It had hurt more when Oriana died at the hospital. She'd fought hard, but in the end it had been clear that she wouldn't wake up again.

Maybe that was why he'd become obsessed with talking to his own mother. The'd eventually figured out who it was, oddly enough with Skulds help. She usually didn't help with anything, but when they figured out who it was, they realized she'd had an idea the entire time.
Allison Efreeti, the actor slash model slash hottestwomanever!! Atleast that's what the gossipmagazines said. If Skuld hadn't been the one figuring it out, he wouldn't have believed it.

Now that they knew and saw the pictures of her it was easy to see the familyresemblance. It was weird searching up his mum online, seeing all the odd things she said about things. Especially when it was about family. Then there was that intervju where she claimed she was really bisexual. Did that mean she hadn't even liked dad when they'd made him? Had she just taked advantage of him? Odin just couldn't ask dad about it then, just incase he was hurting over it. Maybe that was the reason why dad was so afraid of everything that was about feelings.

Jarl always had such great ideas for his brother: Maybe you could be an actor? Ofcourse he'd seen Odins mum in movies. They both had. She acted in several dramas, including the superromantic ines that left both of them glued to the screen, wiping their tears away with tissue after tissue. She really was a good actor. But now he didn't like her anymore.
No, Odin sulked: I don't want to be one. His mum was famous, maybe that's why she didn't want him, It would've ruined careere: I miss aunt Oriana and Meave. They had been more mums for him that his own. He regretted saying it instantly, as Effie flinched and Jarl teared up. Efraim was to much of a bloke to cry.
Clearing his throat before talking, Effie said: They are dead and aren't coming back. For a short while his voice cracked before he regained control again: But your mum isn't. Have you thought about what you want to do?

They looked at him again. Odin had had so many thoughts about his mum, so many idealised stories when he was young. Not that he ever talked about it, but Jarl always understood. He'd made tales in his head, everything from his mum beeing injured, to him saving her from dangerous pirates, to her for some strange reason not knowing about him. No wonder dad hadn't said who it was, he probably wouldn't have believed him either.

Jarl answered for him instead: You should talk to dad. He got why he didn't want to, but what if Skuld was wrong? Not that she was, but what if she was? Dad wouldn't get mad, he'd tried talking about it before. He was just so awkward about it, it just got embarassing for everyone. Dads and talking about feelings were a terrible mix. Odin shook his head, no way if he wanted dad involved.
What about my dad... Effie answered himself before anyone else could: Nevermind, he's crazy.... Bashir?
The three boys looked at eachother until Odin answered: He's the maddest one. And he scares the shit out of me. Next spookyday, I'm dressing up like him, terrorizing the entire town. He had no idea why Lucky actually dared hugging him. Wasn't she afraid he'd turn the blood in her veins to ice or something?

Effie was full of sensible ideas today: Maybe you could write her? It's not like she can't know you exist? Though once again, he found himself answering his own question: Never mind, I doubt a famous actor reads her own fanmail... He didn't want to be a partypooper, especially against his own suggestion.
Maybe dad did something to cause her to never contact me? Odin had thought about that before, but just kind of ruled it out. He just didn't want to think that way about dad.
Uncle Marco say or do something mean to a woman? I think I remember more from our childhood than you do... Effies voice was dry as he said it.
Yeah, that was kind of stupid..... Odin admitted. It was. Even if dad and her hadn't gotten along, he loved his kids, and would never have refused them to meet unless she'd done something bad. Would he? No he probably wouldn't.

Odin really didn't want to talk to dad about it. He'd gone through so much, and what if he'd actually loved her and felt pained by the loss? Then he'd come along and rip up old wounds! No he had to find something better. Looking at the other two, he recognized one of Jarls many terrible pokerfaces: What's wrong Jarl?
It took a little hesitation before he answered: Well, there's this creepy stalker site that pretty much follows her every movement. After long looks from his friend he continued: An online gossipmagazine, they trace her every movement.

I looked it up, and there's a premiere of one of her movies in a few days. Effie cut in: We're not press.... but Jarl just interrupted him again. It was pretty rare he was the one with the crazy ideas: There's an afterparty at a club.
Efraim cut in again, sometimes he hated beeing the reasonable one: We're teenagers... and they defenitely have a list of sort.
Yeah, Jarl said: But we're three teenaged boys, and we have Skuld... so how hard can it be hacking that list? They are online now you know! For once it was him that suggested something illegal.

Why would Skuld help me? She makes satan seem like a boyscout. They laughed at Odins desciption, but he had a point. Actually it was a bit mean comparing satan to Skuld, satan was probably a lot nicer.
I'll let her take some of my leaves... Jarl said. She had a weird idea of picking up all sort of stuff to experiment on. But he'd never let her touch his leaves, they weren't actually leaves, but worked like skin. He had to cut them off, it bled and hurt like hell. But they grew back without scarring though. Unfortunately. Ofcourse he'd tried it in one of his many attempts at getting rid of them.
I can't let you cut yourself for me. You're not emo... they laughed again.
     You'd do it for me.
He was right, Odin would do it for any of them. Even his evil sister.

Lucky was ironically unlucky enough to share a room with Skuld, but truthfully it wasn't all to bad. She was usually working with her experiments anyway. Lucrecia couldn't believe that was even considered a careere. Uncle Marco was very perisistent that Odin and Jarl should have a real job, but Skuld could do what she wanted with her life. Maybe he imagined her with a husband to take care of her? Uncle Marco was quite traditional when it came to his little girls, because it included her to. Not that he'd oppose getting a high- payed job and one of them beeing the breadwinner either. Uncle Marco was really odd.

She was glad to live with dad, but missed her mum. Lucrecia always wanted them to live together as a family, but that just wasn't supposed to be. Not that any of them really knew why it had happened, but she knew that no one was to blame for it other than the ones doing it. And that was how all the kids felt, well, maybe not Skuld. She didn't really know alot about her even if they had always lived together.
But she had gotten a lot nicer atleast, or more neutral was more like it. Maybe she had just been bored as a kid, since she was a genious and all.

Lucky wasn't a genious in any way, and she wasn't really popular in school either. A lot of the boys teased her for some reason, but they weren't bullying her or anything. Just beeing annoying and such, but dad said just to tell them off in as rude a way possible, which she didn't. It didn't really matter either, for she usually hung with Effie and his girlfriend Marea, and Odin and Jarl ofcourse, and Ian and .... she sighed with a stupid grin as she shaped his name with her mouth: Biorn..... completely forgetting that someone might hear as she walked down the empty hallway.

He was so handsome..... but she'd known him for really long, and he was kind of Effies friend. But still, she sighed again, he was soooo handsome. And so nice, he had the most gorgeous smile and the most beautiful eyes. But his mum and dad didn't like them all hanging out together for some reason.
It had changed after mum died, but she didn't know why. And no one explained anything about it either. So they just all lied to their parents about it.

Biorn had visited them once, but then dad had gotten that chill in his eyes, and uncle Joe had chased them off before they could say anything. Not her though, dad had utterly refused her to go out with them, and was not happy that the others were out with him either.
Hi Momo!! Lucrecia made her voice highpitched and sweet, whilst playing with the guinea pig. Not that it was any point in it, as it didn't understand anything anyway. Her nails were bigger than it's brain after all. Lucrecia wasn't to fond of touching animals because of germs and stuff, but she made sure to bathe him very often. No smelly guinea pigs in this house.
Why on earth was dad so mad at Biorn for? He was just a teenager like them! But she had a lot of respect for her dad, he was a lot strickter than mum had ever been, but she remembered that from she was little. So she did as she was told, atleast at the surface.

Lucky patted Momo, still talking in a way to light voice. No one really owned Momo, they were all supposed to take care of him. Even if it usually ended up beeing her. But atleast that way she was sure everything was clean.
Lucrecia didn't like lying to dad, but she was friends with Biorn, and uncle Marco didn't mind but told her to listen to her dad. Which was strange, because she seemed to remember them not beeing to fond of eachother. Maybe she had just imagined it?
Putting Momo back she sighed again, why was dads so weird, and why did mum have to die? She missed mum. She would just have given dad that "you're an idiot" look, he'd call her an owl, and then she'd get what she wanted. And Lucrecia wanted Biorn.

As hilarious as it was working down at the alchemyshop now that clerkman ran all her errands, Skuld still preffered her own. Hers had already been old when she got it, and she loved every little stain on the worndown alchemytable. It's surface glistened with the remnants of the different substances that had been spilled on it throughout the unknown ammount of years it had existed. The scent down in her own little pinkclad dungeon gave her a serene calmness she only felt here.
Even after all this time, she still remembered the fairies words about eternal life. She wanted to live forever to, who didn't?

Skuld liked working with alchemy, though it had been a lot more challenging that she'd imagined. She had ended up digging through dirt, picking plants and gutting fish without hesitation just to figure out some minor, unimportant thing. The crackled old pages in the book had withstood time surprisingly well, but the language was old and difficult to read and interpret. Yet it was so much fun.
Eternal life, who didn't want that? She had gotten a hold of some of Jarls bodyleaves to experiment on if she'd just help them get them on some list for a party with Odins mum. Not that she got why they wanted to do that, but as long as she got something in return she didn't care. Ofcourse she had helped him to begin with, her halfbrother beeing the son of an actor sounded good. Or, it became a massive scandal; which was fun!
Personally she couldn't believe that they hadn't seen it with their bare eyes before. But then again, not everyone was as bright as her.

She'd been a bit surprised that Jarl bled red blood though, she thought it would be sap. But he'd bled when she'd cut them off him, and he'd been in so much pain. Not that she'd made it any more comfortable for him. Why should she? But seeing his grimaced face whenever the sharp blade cut was exhilarating. It made her feel powerful, and very entertained. To think of what that boy did for someone that wasn't even related to him.

Jarl was really gorgeous, that's a part of why she had enjoyed it so much. She liked destroying pretty things, to see how that pretty face had gotten all distorted when the pain struck. She'd enjoyed seeing the pretty skin breaking, that hard body bleeding. Skuld finished what she was doing, Jarls leaves were useless as she'd thought. She really just wanted to cut him, and it had been worth it.

Eternal life, the thought was flowing through her as she looked at Momo. Wondered how it looked on the inside?

I tweaked Efraim. He was a copy of his dad, and as much as I love Joes face, one of him is enough. So I changed some of the sliders to the number his mum had. Like parts of the eyes and mouth and such. Oh, and I found this really neat plantsim skin for Jarl. I like it a lot better than him just beeing green, and I removed the leafthingies plantsims have. But just visualize that he has leaves on his body.

And I changed Efraims girlfriends name, but it was supposed to be Maria, but I typed wrong and it ended up as Marea.

Thanks for reading

2.26: Wishful thinking

                                                         warning: language/gore

I know you're aware of this already, but I've never been a particularly nice sim..

In addition I smoke, I drink to much, I cheat, I carelessly lie and I'll steal anything that isn't nailed down. I've casually stepped over corpses of sims I've know for years. Some I've killed myself, the rest are dead because of me. The killing bothered me once, but it's surprising how quick one stop caring. They were necessary deaths, to help a bigger cause. Well, actually just my cause, but the first sounded better don't you think?

See, I've already lied again; I'd steal stuff even if it was nailed down. Not that I get why, it's not like I've ever lacked anything. I just get bored really easily, so I started drinking at a very young age. And I was a pretty decentlooking young man, so I got to have a lot of sex. Nothing wrong about any of that ofcourse, but it's just that after I grew up I realized I might have done those things for the wrong reasons. Sex and drinking is perfectly fine, but maybe not so much when you feel you're lacking something.
Anyway, the stealing is kind of how I ended up getting involved in this.

I stole a lot of stuff and usually sold it or pawned it illegally. The local criminals knew of me ofcourse, but ofcourse I got caught in the end.Someone probably noticed me in all my astonishing friendly charm... yeah...
Anya eventually got a hold of me, and that's really how it started. As you know I can be quite charming when I want to... I just rarely want to.... But I worked Anya the best I could and she probably felt sorry for me or something. She took the liberty of mentioning it to her husband Milo... yeah, he's involved in this to.
But as it turned out, the mayor in town had an interesting idea that he'd shared with Milo earlier, and it turned out I'd be just perfect for it.

Let me first admit that I have no idea how all the politics worked. But they had a problem with MorcuCorp. They were infiltrating and influencing the politicians, and we don't want them in our lovely city. Even I don't. They would've turned this place into a corrupt hole, filled it with dirty simoleons, smuggling and who- knows- what. In general they would have gained control over  the entire city and held all real political and economical power.
As many flaws our system has, we don't want a secret dictatorship do we? A free market is the perfect sign of democracy after all... Or someone says that atleast, what the fuck do I know?

As it turned out, MorcuCorp was already involved with the criminals in town, getting their assistance at gaining power. And that's where I came in.
The mayor hired me into his office, which I excelled at with my ehrm... charming manners and such... But since the criminals in town already knew me, I started selling them information. They used it as a source for the whole Morcorp thing. Ofcourse what information got sold was decided by the mayor and Milo. I'm not sure what they were hoping for, other than that way they atleast had a shot at predicting the Morcus next move. And probably other things to, but I really wasn't that interested.

It turned out later that the criminals got something from the Morcus in return. They used their labs and simoleons trying to bring some long dead guy back from the dead, to get access to eternal life or some shit like that. Never really got that part, and it wasn't my problem either way. But they were all so greedy that even something that stupid seemed like a good idea to them. And if Rowena insisted it was real; well, no one in their right mind questioned her. Just trust me on that part.. Rowena... Rowena's brutal.

Despite that, Rowenas hold on power still diminished. This idiotic idea about dead vampires and eternal life made the others doubt her abilities. They wanted simoleons, not bad fairytales and she wouldn't have lasted a lot longer there. Ofcourse getting crazier by the minute didn't help either.
Your brother was a thorn in their side. He's a cop, and had started terrorizing the syndicates underlings. However he was also a valuable source for them, as he got them information about the police. So Rowena decided it was a good idea to send thugs to get him to Riverwiev where we where at that time. What a shithole that place it.
Marco is a dangerous guy with connections within the lawdepartment. So either she could get him to join the criminals and prove to the others that he was legit; which she was convinced he was. That way she could have turned it into some oldfashioned mobster syndicate. Ofcourse she still wanted to play it safe with the others, hence the imprisonment.
But the others weren't to thrilled to have a cop, that also had a history of beating them senseless, and stuffing them in jail, running around there. And when the Morcus threatened to stop their scientist reviving the dead guy, she found an even better use for him:
What better way to show the Morcus and her own just how tough she actually was, than to have a highranking cop executed. And a member of her own family at that? It is actually quite brilliant, and she'd also show the underlings that she took their concerns into consideration.
Lucky for us that she didn't stop to think about how inexperienced the thugs actually was, or she just underestimated me. I can do things to, you know. I know, I know... I shouldn't be proud of that.

The funny thing is that whilst I was feeding the criminals information from the mayor office, that they gave the Morcus; we also had an informant within MorcuCorp. Never wondered why Christine was at my office that often? You didn't find it a bit strange that I hung around my ex that much? What other reason would I have for doing that?
The Morcus and criminals just never understood, because they knew I was a cheating bastard anyway. And Christine willingly gave us information in exchange for some really good opportunities to set up businesses.
Not that I cheated on you mind you, I've never done that to you. But you were really cute, and kind of funny when you though I was. Where the hell did you get that idea anyway?
Really, it was all deals and information between Christine and me. Or politics, if you preffer.

You can't really be surprised that Milo was so highly involved in this? Think about it: His wife is a cop, and he was next in line to be mayor. Why wouldn't they talk about this stuff?
But it took so damned long, and I honestly believe it got to complicated for the mayors office in the end. It's one of those incidents where everyone knew a little, but no one really knew the entire picture. In addition there were internal powerfights within all the fractions. Unfortunately that one between MorcuCorp and Vera wasn't one I knew anything of. If I' known I'd have them "relocated" a long time ago. Makes you wonder what happened to her, right? Other than you torching her that is.
It probably would have been different if Milo had started it instead of that ancient mayor, but by the time he was in full control it had gotten out of hands for us. We didn't see any other choice than to keep going. Even if we'd never get rid of the Morcus we'd do our best to stall them. Not that this survived for long after the mayor died though. That man got old beyond belief.

I don't know... Milo would probably have been a better choice for this than me. But he had to be protected, and so did Anya. She was a favourite for becoming chief of police. If someone had suspected the two of them beeing involved in something like this, Jericho would have lost investors, companies, jobs and things would have fell into a dump again.
We were really just trying to save the city from financial ruin, and since MorcuCorp technically is a legal company we couldn't get rid of them in a legal manner. I don't think Anyas boss knew to much either, she just wanted to get rid of the gangs in Jericho that got to powerful to quickly. And she just couldn't figure out why. Probably because I kept feeding them false information.

It was going well enough on those premises, but then that gorilla brother of yours started looking into it. I swear that guy can smell these things. And he just doesn't let things go either! Why couldn't he just let it go? He's like a bloodhound, if he smells something he doesn't stop until he finds it. Do you have any idea how much he slowed down the process?
You see, the policestation had decided that it was a great idea to pretend your brother was a dirty cop. Mainly because he had quite a reputation already. But ofcourse, his boss is obliged to inform the mayors office, so we knew it was a game. But the mayor couldn't stop it either, because.... well, you know.. corruption is kind of illegal. So I sat there with Rowena and saw her start trusting him, and knew it was bullshit, but I couldn't say anything. Normally I would've just killed the guy. But he's a policeofficer, your brother and Rowenas cousin so... you know... I got a bit of a problem there. And since he's your brother, Milo would probably have run me out of town himself if I did anything.

We spent so much time trying to get him off out backs, that we were getting desperate. The easiest would probably have been just using Milo. But as I've mentioned already, he had to be protected. Can you imagine what would have happened if your brother had figured that out? Because he suspected I wasn't the power behind it all the way to the end.
Milos got a good head on him, and he'd be a good mayor to the town if they'd gotten over the werewolf part. And I'll admit I sometimes, or maybe most of the times... okay fine; all the time; kept him in the dark about how I actually worked, and how many I had to get out of the way. Good contracts usually are like that. The previous mayor was an extremely ruthless man, I'll give him that. And, well, Milo isn't, so I never told him.

I accidentally ran into your brother that day at the winterfair. Just couldn't keep my big mouth shut, had to open it and say a lot of things I wasn't supposed to. I just wanted to figure out how much he actually knew. Milo and the mayor wasn't happy with me as usual, but since I first had to open my big mouth, the mayor figured we could do the best we could: Try to get Marco looking into me instead of the syndicate and politicians. Maybe we could prove he was incompetent and get him demoted to a pure deskjob, or something.
For the record, I told the mayor it wouldn't work, as I knew your brother pretty well in my youth. He's really a smart guy even if I like calling him an idiot. And it didn't work either, did it? But I had a lot of fun making him angry. I like making your brother angry, it's entertaining. And that just made him more insistent and his boss ended up giving him the assingment of pretending to be a dirty cop, which just got him even more involved.

Then you showed up at snowflake day, trying to pretend everything was fine. You have a terrible pokerface, I've always liked that about you. I kind of started reading your blog, to keep you safe. You were really to generous with information about yourself.      After that I might have talked Milo into letting me try to get information about what your brother knew, through you. And maybe I managed to twist it such a way that Milo thought it was his idea? And that he'd be doing me a massive favour? And that you'd be a very good influence on me?
That was a tough battle, he didn't want me anywhere near you. But eventually he caved, even himself suggested to you that we meet up. Though I'll admit I have no idea what he told you so you'd agree to meet up with me. I kind of assumed he'd promised you simoleons and half the city or something, since I'm kind of, you know... gross..

I wasn't planning on anything happening. I just wanted to see yo. I kept forgetting to ask about your brother to, you're quite distracting to be around. I just wanted to see you smile and hear you talk. You were so sweet and innocent, and completely naive. It was so nice beeing around you, when everything else was lies. You're so sweet, and think everyone else is just as sweet and honest as you are. And I'm really am not sweet, honest or particularly nice in any way. It actually took me a while to realize that you had an interest in me all along.

Then those idiots at the syndicate made that damned bomb, which I knew all about ofcourse but "forgot" to tell Milo. I just made sure that he wasn't there for a few days to be on the safe side. But they also "forgot" to inform me that they would make it go off during my workhourse. I think they were out to get me, and it was probably for the best, or it would have gotten off at a lot busier hour. Or they just didn't care that I was there, or both. What? I told you I'm not a good guy, didn't I?
At that point I had stopped caring. I was already aware that I was outstaying my welcome.

Nothing was supposed to happen between us. I just wanted to meet you again and again, thinking it would get easier if I just met you one more time.
But then you met up at my house wearing practically nothing, and seriously... no bra? I'm just a man for crying out loud. You seemed so upset, and I really just wanted to comfort you. But your skin was really soft, and your legs very long. And come on... no bra? Not that I was complaining.

I knew you were interested at that point, ofcourse. And I also knew it was a bad idea kissing you, and I shouldn't have done it to begin with. Everything I worked for, what I worked with... just a horrible idea really.
You seemed a bit hesitant at first so I hesitated to, but when you relaxed I just ignored the sensible voices that went on in my head. I do that most of the time anyway.

I'm really sorry I couldn't give you a proper wedding, but I lied to Milo about the dating and the pregnancy. Poor sod even believed me for some reason, you would think he'd learned by then right? But you told him and Anya, ofcourse you did. They're your best friends. Turned out that little softhearted blondie has a temper after all; he was furious. I was sure he was going to kill me, for real.
I get why he reacted that way now ofcourse, or I did back then to but I just chose to ignore it. That's why they stayed away from you, you know. To keep you safe. Everyone just wanted you to be safe. You are kind of a walking disaster after all.

The criminals made a terrible mistake that night. A memeber of MorcuCorp and parts of the criminals tried taking over the business. They had planned it for a while, but with the old Morculady dead, and the storage burning, they jumped ahead and decided to take advantage of the chaos. Or atleast that was the idea.
There was a reason why your family was supposed to be left alone, and it's not because you were related to the crime- boss. It was because of Meave. She wasn't what you thought she was. Atleast the little I knew of. You see, the army can be a good place to work, but sometimes the members quit and goes into so- called overseas security businesses. Most of them are legit, hard working sims. And some or them are not legit, and doesn't work in very legal manners.
Let's just say that Meave belonged to that group that wasn't very legit. I'm a bit surprised that none of you noticed a difference in how she worked.... you know she tended to walk around armed right? That's not legal, atleast not when not in uniform. And most armysims don't do that anyway.

Meaves co- workers wasn't happy about her execution. Because when the law looked into her death, there's a chance they found out what she worked with.
Worst scenario that would have happened with the criminals was some years in prison, and having to start from scratch. The Morcus would have taken a harder toll, but they'd survive. Illegal businesses in legal ones and so one, you know.
But that didn't matter when Meaves co- workers decided to avenge her death. It had gotten out of hands for all parts involved, and they put a pretty brutal ending to it. A very brutal ending to it actually. They found Rowenas molested body near a dumpster, and not even the Morcus got away. Well, atleast they will stay away from Jericho now right?
Am I a bad sim for saying that I'm happy Meaves friends didn't figure out I was a part of it? But it is such a pointless turn of events right? All those years of work, so many lives destroyed and all it took was for Meave to die? I'm not going to think about what I would've done if I'd known that.

I've lied to you for as long as we've been together, and for our daughter to. She looks like me, but luckily she takes after you. She is so much like you... And even if I lied so much I need you to understand something. I've made so many grown men cry that I've lost count a long time ago, and so many lives and families have been ruined. Just the share sight of me is enough to destroy most sims day, and if I say the right things to them: most wish they hadn't been born at all.

But I've always been bad at saying the things I should say: I wanted to keep both of you safe and happy, but I failed. I wish I hadn't lied but it did it to keep you safe, and because I was so selfish I didn't want you to leave me. And even if I've never told you before; I love you. Both of you.
I am so sorry, and I know you'll never know how sorry I am for everything.

He just wish he'd told her while she was still alive

I decided from letting Bashir keep the burn on his face, I liked him better without (that, and I'm trying to clean out my packagefiles of unneccessary things). And yes, Oriana is dead, all dead and fully "not coming back" dead and Bashir is the newest member of the household keeping up the rolls. Atleast now I don't have to stop her and Joe from flirting all the time. Because they did, all the damn time.

Explanations, explanations:
Anticlimax, I know. It was supposed to be to, but honestly not this much.

So there were certain things that got screwed up. When my computer broke down I lost everything exept one save from when the kids were toddlers. So all saved sims were gone to. Florian was supposed to be a part of the story, though not directly. But I needed his face as a startup for generation three, and would've needed him there to. Unfortunately I just wasn't able to recreate him. So I had to improvise quite a bit. I'm sure everyone has already gotten that the whole "dreamstuff" isn't actually dreams, but I wasn't able to finish it since I needed Florians face for that. (Not that he was coming back from the dead or anyhting like that for the record.) I'll try to improvise something for generation three on that part, but it might be to funky to use. So no promises there.
Ofcourse Marco was supposed to take out Rowena, but if I decide to go with the funky idea this was a better fit. Atleast all that were supposed to die, died. Except Rye, turned out he was the only one from both families, so I didn't want to end that family line :D

And I know first person talking is a really cheap way of doing it, but I figured it was easiest to make it understandable. If there's something I left out or that has changed, I appologize already, but as mentioned earlier it got a bit difficult beeing in the middle of a story when things and important sims disappeared. Hopefully it didn't get to bad.

Thanks for reading

p.s: If you see some of the thugs or others running around in the game, don't be alarmed. It's not them, but they have enormous families and for some reason they've started looking the same. Or maybe it's just me that think they do.
