4.21 Love is out of air

You backstabbing little fuck! Irena was majorly pissed and humiliated: How could you?! How could you tell mum and dad? Now mum and dad were constantly on her back, teasing her about her boyfriend! It was embarassing! Her parents weren't acting parenty enough!

Not that it was any point in even trying to get him to understand how it was beeing in love. This was meant to last forever and ever. And she totally and utterly loved Larry and he totally and utterly loved her to!

Maybe, Dragan said calmly: You should have thought about that before you were mean to Neda and me. What was she thinking anyway? That he somehow owed her loyalty and support when she was beeing mean and stupid? And smelly?! Because those perfumes her and Niko drowned themselves in was stinky!

Irena had hoped she'd be able to scare Dragan by the authority or beeing an older sibling, but her youngest brother was a hard nut to crack.

It was good that she had Niko then. Their relationship had plummeted since they'd aged up; the constant bickering never seized.

How's your "girlfriend", Irena asked acidly. You should be thankful that she even wants to be seen with you. 

For the first time in ages, Niko didn't have a retibutal. After mum and dad had told him that Iman was a mean bully, he'd started noticing that she kind of was. So, now he kept questioning if it was a good idea at all. He was in love with her, but what if it wasn't meant to last?

Atleast Niko had learned not to mess with his younger siblings, Dragan was a ball of manipulation and knew exactely how to play it to get the older ones into trouble. You messed with Neda, you'd get Dragan on your heels and the other way around. So for now, Niko worked on his relationship with him instead. It wasn't that bad having younger siblings after all. Dragan was nice when he got what he wanted; like most kids.

Irena was planning on staying together with Larry just to prove her parents wrong. She was seriously in love with him; really, she was. Even if he kind of irritated her a bit, and acted like she somehow should be thrilled the few times he could be bothered showing up when they were supposed to meet up somewhere.

She spent as much time windsurfing as possible, and she'd gotten so good now that doing tricks was as easy as chewing.

She wished it was a way she could do this professionally, but understandably Jericho didn't have a professional team. And somewhere in the back of her mind, Irena knew that she didn't have it in her to become professional either way. Not that she wasn't good enough, but it took a dedication that she likely didn't have. She just wanted an easy life. Like with a rich husband to mooch off or something.

It was nice having Neda to yell at when she was in a bad mood after a date with Larry. Atleast she didn't answer her back like Dragan did. Why couldn't he be meeker, like Neda? Didn't he understand how difficult it was beeing Irena? Like, she had real worries!

You're such a weirdo Neda! Why can't you just get some other friends that Dragan and animals? Fucking freak! It was embarassing beeing Nedas sister.

Neda spent some time on the playground alone after school; falling on her butt as she used the slide. She didn't want to go home, because Irena was there, and she was mean.

It was so typical that she hurt herself playing, she could never do anything right. That's why she didn't like talking to other kids, because she was worried that she'd end up embarassing herself. It was like she was a complete looser or something.

Despite that, she asked another girl at the playground. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad? She had no idea who the girl was, so she probably went to the other school in the city; the posh one.

Uhm, hey I'm Neda. Do you want to play tag?

It worked! Why hadn't she done this before! And the girl just thought it was funny when she nearly tripped and ran into things. But, not like she laughed at her to be mean, but because it looked funny. And it kind of did.

Had Irena really been right all along? This was how easy it was? No, she couldn't handle the thought of her mean old sister beeing right about anything!

No matter what doubts Niko might have, he shared the same ideology as his sister; he was going to keep seeing Iman no matter what mum and dad said. The difference was ofcourse that he liked his girlfriend.

Showing up at her doorstep for a surprise date, he wondered why she'd never mentioned that she was filthy rich.

It didn't matter to him ofcourse, she was still perfect even if she was a bit mean at times.

Hi Iman. He tried sounding secure and mature in his behaviour, and not like the nervous baboon he actually was: Do you... do you want to like catch a movie or something? Damn, her house was so big, his voice was actually echoing through the hallway.

A part of him hadn't expected her to agree. Which was a bit odd, since they were going steady. He wasn't sure if he'd ever get used to her actually wanting to spend time with him.

With Nedas new found confidence, the twins decided to spend some time together and sing some karaoke. They were absolutely adorable, not to mention skilled. Who wouldn't be charmed by two cute little kids that sang a cute little song?

One of the regulars at the karaokeplace seemed to mind the two adorable children: BOO!!! Go to bed!! Go home!!! She was so sick of every place in town beeing overrun by kids!

If Niko had known his sibling was in the cellar of the same place, he'd probably have thought twice before ending the date there.

That was a really good movie. And Monica Simucci is still so pretty. 

I didn't notice, Niko lied: I was to busy staring at you. In the dark none the less. Iman seemed to appreciate the little lie atleast. The important thing was that the movie had been great.

He wasn't very good at taking the initiative either, so he appreciated when Iman took his hands and held them for a bit. How could mum and dad claim that she'd been a mean little kid. He'd probably just imagined the little snark she seemed to show a few times; everyone had those moments. Him and Iman were perfect for eachother.

Absolutely perfect.

Ands he didn't even slap him afterwards. That was a sign that it was meant to be.

I called you more than two hours ago! Irena didn't have as much luck with her date as Niko did. She was really getting fed up with her boyfriend. As much as she'd love to prove mum and dad wrong, this was getting on her nerves.

I just had to finish the game first! Larry stuttered at her sudden angry outburst.

Really?! You couldn't just have told me that you were playing with your friends instead? She was a fucking queen, and he should treat her like one!

I didn't want you to get mad at me! Why was it so hard for girls to understand that he couldn't just tell his friends that he wanted to leave as soon as his girlfriend called. His friends might have laughed at him, and called him "whipped", which was like the most aweful thing ever!

You thought I'd get mad at you for saying that you were busy, but not for waiting two hours for your lazy arse to show up?! 

Yes.... He was lying, and he knew it.

That's the dumbest fucking excuse I've ever heard!

You know what Larry! Fuck you! This is over! We're done! She was not having this anymore and she didn't care that everyone at the bowlorama heard it. That was the most pathetic excuse she'd ever heard. Dumbarse was trying to blame this on her; like it was somehow her fault that he couldn't just be honest.

She could have pretended she was heartbroken over Larry. But the best way to get over one relationship, was to jump into a new one. Irena quickly decided on a new boy that would be perfect for her. In her mind, there was no way she'd get a no, so she sat down and wrote a love letter. He'd be thrilled getting some attention from her.

As expected Irenas newest potential boyfriend was more than flattered at her interest. Kyrre wasn't the most handsome guy in school, but their outfits matched. That meant that he knew how amazing she was and wanted her approval.

Do you want to go and get something to eat? She already knew that the way to a boys heart was through his stomach. But she had no intention of learning how to cook, so she'd rather invite him out.

Okay! Kyrre answered. He already had a girlfriend, but he'd be more than willing to dump her for Irena. She was like the prettiest girl in school.

One of the most important things that happened after a breakup, was to see who won. And who won, was the one who got someone new to date first. Not waisting any time, Irena wanted to make sure to be victorious: Kyrre. I really like you. Do you want to go steady? She knew about his girlfriend, but he could just drop her like a hot potato.

He was more than happy to do as she wanted. Boys were so easy it almost wasn't any fun at all.

Someone had gotten the kids a new toy, and Neda was lucky enough to be the first one to try it. This was so exciting! She mentally prepared herself for the cute figure to pop out at any second.

It didn't help, and she jumped and screamed as the clown popped out of the box.

She was never doing that again: Mommy!!! Daddy!! She cried and it wasn't even pretend- crying this time. It was real tears, because that thing had actually scared her.

Who would've gotten them such a terrifying toy? She cried for her mum and dad again, but they didn't show up. She'd forgotten that they had date night, and that meant that the only ones at home was Irena and Niko. And they had no plans on comforting a scared little sister.

Aino and Daniel were enjoying a day out without the kids for a change. Since it was in the middle of the week, they were pretty much alone at the gazebo but what did they care.

Come on gorgeous, it'll be fun.

She wasn't all to sure, even if she really wanted to try: Isn't it dangerous?

No, no. it's perfectly safe. I've done it tons of times. Just not publicy. It wasn't that long since it had become legal under tons of regulations ofcourse.

Nothing! He hoped she chose to ignore it.

Well, it wasn't dangerous to try right? She just had to trust the cityofficials and her husband. Getting a bit high before going home to the kids were probably okay. I wasn't so bad though, nor especially exciting to be honest. Kind of a waste of simoleons, even if it was more social then drinking. She highly suspected the waterpipe to have blended everything out, so it was extremely weak.
 

Aino had been so busy beeing a mother and someones coworker for so long, she'd nearly forgotten how much she enjoyed when it was just the two of them. She did her best to draw him, but pencildrawing had never been her strongest side; painting was her real love anyway.

They started having datenights a few times a week. Usually it just meant going somewhere without the kids. Not that the kids wanted to spend time with them anyway, so it wasn't like they were keeping them out of their lives.

Aino elegantly slipping and falling stomach first into the pool ensured that they had to stop swimming for a while though. It wasn't always easy getting older.

Resting a bit in the chairs there, Daniel tried to be nice to his wife: How you feeling? Still hurting? It wasn't that it was funny that she got hurt, but she would be fine. And she did things like that quite often to.

No, I'm better. But she was tired. It was something she'd noticed more and more every day lately. She always seemed to have something on her mind.

Do you want to go on vacation? Just the two of us I mean? Without the kids? What if he said no? What if he thought she was selfish and didn't want the kids to enjoy a trip away from town for a change? What if....

That is the best idea you've ever had! Daniel wasn't so hard to persuade it seemed: I'm so tired all the time, and that damned bickering the kids keep doing drives me crazy. Just... think about sleeping! Until noon! And then rolling around and sleeping a bit more! And roomservice. It sounded like a slice of heaven. Especially the part about no kids present. He loved his kids, but they were just so aweful to eachother at times. It would probably be good for them to take some responsibility at home without their presence.

What's the worst that can happen? He finished.

I got bored with Larry- no show, and Irena rolled a want to kiss Kyrre before they broke up. So, Kyrre it is then. She's not heartbroken over it either, so I think she was bored with him to.

And Neda finally started getting friends in school. I think she was bugged or something. I've noticed that even if the kids are going to her school, the friendship bar didn't increase when she "talked to" her classmates, but it did for Dragan. It's fixed now atleast, so she's finally getting some friends.
